@Crackers making moves! He somehow got a couple of colonies, and now he's following up @BD's attack on Kongo with one of his own. His numbers aren't amazing, but he's got a fantastic general and better technology.

It's technically of a fight over whether the Emperor is a Protestant or a Catholic, but it's mostly just a way for everyone to get together and have a big war. That it's not really about religion is easily seen by how many Catholic countries are fighting each other.

In the following screenshot you can see who is on. All the red countries are on one side, all the green are on the other. @BD being blue here means they're allied to RedSky (who I have selected), but have not chosen a side. Also that means @V.O. and @adexkola are not in it (because they were in a war already), but @Andycoleno9 is in it (I think because he was allied to the leader of the Protestant League.

Oh yeah, and the leader of the Protestand League is the tiny country of Opole, which seems like it's a bad idea.

Ideas (these are basically upgrades you can take that come in Administrative, Diplomatic and Military, using the currency generated (generally) by the skills of your ruler. I'll go into a bit more detail about these when I do country-by-country updates a bit later today, but they're one way of measuring how well you're doing that doesn't necessarily relate directly to your number of provinces or the size of your armies. If you're conquering a lot you'll probably use a lot of Administrative power on making the new provinces cores, so maybe won't have as much to spend on new ideas)

I thought the 30 year war might finally change things for me, instead I go backwards and somehow lose even more provinces.
 
Well I’m fecked. Far too far behind the big boys now.
 
ALM needs a firm smack on the nose for his recent behaviour. Lost half his fleet, time to take Crete and secure half the Med.
