it doesn't give you a "wow" when you first watch over the video, but after finishing the watching apparently he's the one we are really in need:
a linker in midfield who always makes himself available to his teammates around him and is capable to move the ball around.

Agreed, perhaps Id better amend that to say if Carrick is out, he can do the job temporarily...but if we are playing a midfield 3 with Gundogan & Herrera then someone like Schneiderlin would be perfect as a CDM.
Ive always wondered why Schneiderlin doesn't seem to be on our radar.
Exactly he is basically like Scholes towards the end of his career but with more pace and legs. Just a very clever, neat footballer who can pass short and long with ease. He always seems to have space but can get himself out of trouble by dribbling or body movement. I don't think he looks a lot less impressive now than he was pre injury.

Really think he'd be an excellent addition. For the price mooted I hope we're all over him, I'd be confident of winning the midfield battle against anyone in the league with him Herrera and Carrick.

Why would Dortmund intentionally sell him to Bayern when he has suitors elsewhere? Still, I won't give up hope until I see him in a Bayern shirt.
Not really bothered at all missing out on him. Nearly every Dortmund fan says he is not even the same player that was one of the best midfielders in the world in 2013, and that he has lost a lot of intensity.
Why not when the Bayern offer is the best? If they really offer 25m + Hojberg, it's understandable and more useful than our offer. It's not like they are really competitors right now.

The #6 role is more about passing range, incision and awareness than it is about defending, that is why Gundogan is a better fit for us than some of the destroyers being listed by people.

I disagree with the idea that we just need defensive cover. We're a possession oriented team now and, as good as Herrera and Carrick are, neither are world class playmakers.
That's what we really need. Someone like Gundogan; a world class passer of a ball who can control the play, dominate the ball and open teams up. We need that a lot more than we need a Schneiderlin type imo.

Gundogan isn't a #6. He's best placed where we currently play Fellaini. I agree in that we do need another player to do the things you speak of. It's why somebody like Schweinsteiger isn't a bad shout to take over from Carrick for a few seasons. We need two midfielders, certainly.

I wouldn't mind some of Hojberg for us myself, who has been touted as a pawn in any Bayern deal. He's looked very impressive when I've seen him, could be Bayern ' s Pogba if they stupidly give him away.

Why are you believing what jan aage fjortoft is saying? About a fortnight ago he said Gundogan was going to Atletico or Arsenal. A month ago a fee was agreed with us, he's as random as a tabloid, seems to me he thinks if he throws enough bullshit some of it is bound to stick.
Bayern or Barca will get him for like £12m without extras. You know it.
Bale turned us down - Real was his preference (favourite club growing up etc.). It had nothing to do with Spurs not selling to us. They would have sold us Bale for alot more money - only a fool wouldnt..
