Statistics prove that Gundogan is as good or perhaps better then before his injury.

Don't shoot the messenger. Sure, he had a set back with his injury, so from a physical point of view he will need some time to get back into form, but at his age 23 and the relatively low price tag it sure is worth a risk. Start the chopper Woodie!

So, who are the potential clubs hunting for his autograph ?

Arsenal
United
(Bayern, just to troll?)

This news will surely attract other clubs like City, Liverpool, PSG perhaps ? Don't think Barcelona and Madrid will open the file on this one.

 What? Gundogan isnt about goals. Didnt our Dortmund poster compare his shooting to Anderson?

Der Westen saying we will sign him, linking their previous article that we've agreed a deal for 21m and mentioning that other media but not themselves have linked Bayern as a possibility.

Also there's this. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-will-not-sign-new-borussia-dortmund-contract

We're the only club being mentioned by Sky Sports, a fairy reliable news outlet and we're also the only club being mentioned by Der Westen also fairly reliable when it comes to Dortmund news.

Gundogan for 30m euros is a steal.

With Carrick in his twilight years, Gungogan is a good replacement. Calm, composed and very level headed. Pair him with a more mobile and combative midfielder and we are set!! Can't afford we losing him to Arsenal (who have been craving for one with the likes of Arteta and Flamini looking miserable)or even Liverpool who might like him as a partner to Henderson.

Especially Arsenal who have so much pace and attack in their team that they need Gundogan kind of player who just sits in front of the back 2. Get him Woody!!

"Manchester United's move for Morgan Schneiderlin is said to be back on after it was revealed today that he has suffered a knee injury that will see him out for the rest of the season. Chelsea were thought to be leading the race but have since cooled their interest. A source at Old Trafford confirmed the news telling us that they are waiting to find out if it's ligament, tendon or worse with United said to be favouring ligament damage and ideally a tear or rupture. They hope his rehabilitation will take him long into next season where fans can debate whether he's a risk, if he'll ever be the same again or if he was ever good enough for this level anyway".

'Statistics prove that...' sorry but that's really stupid. They don't prove anything, at least what you've posted. Would it not more logical to go by the consensus of people who actually follow him and the team rather than pulling out pointless statistics? And those are particularly pointless considering that goal scoring is hardly the main asset we look for in a midfielder.

Sorry but this is just silly:lol:

You can't judge a player like Gundogan on goals scored. It isn't the part of his game the really matters.

Actually :nervous:, too close to being true.

Seen him a bit this season. His passing accuracy and vision are still there. But the agility and "engine" which were his trademark before the injury are not which is understandable considering he's just back from the injury and doesn't what to risk getting another injury. The good thing is that he has been fairly regular since his return so hopefully the signs are there. A decent pre-season would definitely do him a lot of good.

Rather than appearances, what's his actual minutes like? Is he getting brought off an hour into every game?

Click and bait my friend

If you scroll a bit further i explained that the only thing you can deduce from those statistics is that he scored the same amount of goals in less games prior to his injury. I further went into the case that those statistics explicitly dont argue ten faveure of Gundogan being a better player! His average pass percentage of 85.1% (in 18 games) is a relatively good start in the proces of his rehabilitation. Just a click bait to get the ball a bit rolling and open up the discussion about how he is recovering from his set back.

Even if he doesn't return to his best (which I think he will) he'll still be worth £20mil in todays market.

The level Gundogan reached 2 years ago, is higher than the level Pogba has yet reached imo. Pogba is probably more fun to watch, with his great tricks and goals, but how Gundogan controls the midfield, orchistrates the game, creates, short passes, long passes, interceptions, tackling, Gundogan is still a class above.
There's no class above current pogba.

I really hope we can get him. If there is a Young CM having the potential to step into the shoes of Carrick he might be the best one.

A midfield 3 of him, Herrera, Schneiderlin could become one of the best and most balanced in Europe...

There's no class above current pogba.
Paul Pogba isn't even close to that good yet, he's raw as feck and people forget this because of his highlight reel. He isn't actually even the best midfielder in Italy, let alone being in the best in the world (which is what you're implying). And the poster you replied to is correct, 2011-2013 Gundogan was a mile better than anything Pogba so far has shown.
