Having one bad back injury doesn't make him injury prone.

Hummels is a different thing. Hummels' agent is his father - that actually was working together with van Gaal in Munich...

With Hummels it is about what his father thinks of van Gaal - and he is very close to Müller and Lahm. Müller and Hummels were together in a short holiday after Brazil. So one thing is pretty sure - Hummels exactly knows what he gets if he signs with United.

This is a gamble. But if he can get to being 70-80% he was this will prove to be a fantastic buy. He has it all and can play any role in midfield. With a proper pre-season under his belt, next season he should be much better than what we have seen from him thus far.

You reckon Dortmund would sell both of them to United though? I thought they worked on a bit of a policy of selling just one 'star' player a Summer?

There's a huge downside here. This shit makes me want to start another FM save. I've got work to do over the weekend.
 
Someone like Gundogan will excell with possession football and early pressing. He should fit right in.
 
Many joking about the injuries but our main defensive target last summer was Vermaelen.

That would make sense tbf. But certainly goes against the 'Carrick replacement' theory.
 
A controlling, ball playing midfielder. The evolution continues. Bravo Louis. Bravo.
 
Worth the gamble when you consider we have Herrera as a fixture in the midfield.

I'd love to see that front 6 just battering bottom 13 teams at Old Trafford, and in tougher games, just drop one of the attacking midfielders in that trio for Blind or Carrick.
 
For all his injury problems, Gundogan has played more minutes (including only the league games) than Herrera this season.

Geez, this team will absolutely hammer most of the teams. It has speed, creativity, work rate, flair, passing, goals. Everything you want.
