Is he reliable ?
Hoping that someones career goes down the toilet for having the audacity to want to leave United after having a very difficult year is quite an impressive amount of bitterness. Transfer windows really do seem to bring out the deranged lunatic in people. It's on the same level as Liverpool fans burning Suarez shirts.

It would make a lot of sense.
What happens if this carries on all summer and we end up keeping him?
I said the same thing earlier in the thread.
It's ridiculous how downright childish some of our supporters are.
Not only are personal insults stupid but most of you don't have a clue what's going on with Di Maria. All fecking conjecture.
I am usually very supportive of footballers who want to leave and play elsewhere. I understand they have families and other issues which makes them unsettled in certain countries.
In this case I genuinely believe Di Maria and his family were affected by the robbery. If not then his wife and family in general simply aren't settled. If I put myself in his shoes as a neutral I would do what's best for my family and myself.
I believe we are at least on par with PSG as a football club. Paris isn't another world compared to Manchester, they still have shit weather alot etc.
WhAt ever his reasons for wanting to leave, I accept. As long as we get a decent fee which is anything over 40 million gbp I am happy.
So say we get to the knockout rounds of the Champions League and we draw PSG.
What kind of reaction does Di Maria get? I'm guessing a bad one.
Sounds like a job for the one and only dark sith lord Juan MataHopefully, hostility from the fans, and a few of our players finding the perfect excuse to start a confrontation in the tunnel before one of them shouts at him: "I'll see you out there, you cnut!"
ehh, I think you guys are reacting bit too harsh (Internet, I know..) He didn't say anything bad about you lot or complained in media. He didn't settle into the team and the philosophy. He wants regular football, so he wants to move. Many other players do a lot worse. I read Rojo made some bad noise joining United, Mascherano did same before joining Barca, Ibra vilified the manager and the club when leaving Barca. Compared to these ADM has been quiet. He just wants to move, most player want to do that when he's not playing regular football.
The face on Giggs and LVG say it all
I agree but with the money he earns he could have around the clock security to eliminate that happening again , but as you say family comes first and all that.I am usually very supportive of footballers who want to leave and play elsewhere. I understand they have families and other issues which makes them unsettled in certain countries.

Why? Because it suits your narrative? It would make a lot of sense.
PSG at least on par with us, have a fecking word with yourself will ya.I am usually very supportive of footballers who want to leave and play elsewhere. I understand they have families and other issues which makes them unsettled in certain countries.

Why would LVG tell ADM to stay away? His perceived AWOL will play to PSG's favor and contribute only to lower the price.
Lets say that we've done a big mistake in throwing money at a player who never wanted to come to United in the first place. Now Real are happy as they got their 60m. PSG will be happy because they will get their player at a much realistic price and we end up looking like idiots with a 15m loss
Is he reliable ?
I don't care what's going on right now. What I do care about is us paying a shitload of money on him, paying him huge wages only for him to leave after one tough year.
Hang on a minute.
For those who are bitter, understand this:
Di Maria moved from a very hot country to Manchester. This would've been tough.
He also came to the most competitive league in the World - something which even LVG has alluded to.
Di Maria's style of play just didnt work in England. His diving saw him get sent off.
He expected to be running the show and instead he was sat on the bench.
Furthermore, as an attacker, he is supplying RVP and Falcao, who can't score.
I actually said WE are at least on par with them. Meaning at the very worst we are the same as them as far as attraction to play for imo.PSG at least on par with us, have a fecking word with yourself will ya.

I just don't understand why he took the cowards way out by not turning up for the pre season tour.I am usually very supportive of footballers who want to leave and play elsewhere. I understand they have families and other issues which makes them unsettled in certain countries.

A coward, if ever i saw one.Hang on a minute.
Falcao, scored 4 goals in what amounts to about half a season.
He took huge wages and was down-right terrible. Abysmal. Some have said that he was the worst striker at MUFC in many years.
A wage thief if I ever saw one.
He got a standing ovation.
Di Maria put in decent performances (not great, but decent), making many assists and scored goals. And you are complaining about Di Maria?
I sense that if Di Maria was genuinely poor (like Falcao), that fans would be wishing him good luck at PSG, but because they know that Di Maria is one of the best, they are getting bitter.

Conversely at PSG
the weather is warmer.
he'd get 1st team football.
he'd be supplying Ibrahimovic who is one of the best strikers on the planet.
he'd most likely win the league.
PSG will play lower league team int he Cup and easily beat them.
I said this earlier in this thread: if I were his agent and doing my job, I'd be advising him to get out of MUFC, even if it means a cut in wages.
Why? Because it suits your narrative?
They aren't even in the same league as us.
*Millwall would title challengers in the French League, finishing 1st in a easy league isn't the same as finishing 4th in one of the hardest leagues in the World.I don't think di Maria gives a toss about our history. To many players, especially those from South America, it's about playing football.
Currently, PSG have a brighter present; we're working our way towards something (we did just finish 7th and 4th).
