That is like me selling my damaged lawn mower for pennies and then you thinking I should do the same with my brand new Merc (not that I own one :p). Also this nonsense about fanboys has to stop. Are you telling me you don't like or support one player more than the other? That is how it works. Most people want him to stay because they think he can be huge for us this summer.
Is ADM brand new Merc in your story?

I thought that was obvious. It was to point out the silly comment that since we have got the likes of Falcao, RvP, Nani off our wage bill we can afford to take a hit on Di Maria.

We have probably tried to convince him to stay and asked him to come out to meet the rest of the squad and see how things go and he stayed at home to force the move. Terrible behaviour. We wouldn't sell him, make him sit on the bench and live in Rochdale.

Well the brand new Merc isnt brand new anymore nor is it working properly.
Has this been confirmed that he has refused to join the squad?
It has. he didnt board the plan to our US camp and LVG isnt happy about it.

So the search for a #7 starts again....

I think our best bet for finding another player who has the same unpredictability and creativity as ADM is trying to pressure PSG into giving us first option on Lucas Moura or Javier Pastore (I know, both South Americans).

Obviously, it would only be a smart option if either of those players actually wanted to play for United. Last thing we want to do is repeat the same mistake as the ADM transfer.

LvG is never shy of articulating his thoughts. Comparing Young with Neymar

It seems that LvG really wants AdM to stay. He talks about Players like Hazard, Aguero, Messi and Suarez and that we Need that Kind of Players to compete on the highest Level.
The only Player we have in that bracket is AdM and there are no realistic hints about Players who could adequately replace him. Of course there are rumours about Bale or Müller but I am pretty sure we won`t get any of those.
Pedro is a great Player to have but he is no Messi or Hazard. And no AdM.

On another note: I can understand that the burglary has been a shock. Especially with him and his Baby daughter being at home.
I do not know too much about Manchester but couldn`t he just move into a Region a Little bit outside?

He did move to some posh neighbourhood outside of the town as I understand. Could be wrong though.

This is terrible behaviour, refusing to join up with the squad
Yep, he needs to be moved on now -- don't understand anyone wanting him to stay after that, but some people really are deluded I guess. You simply can't refuse to join up with the squad, it's not fecking on.

No two ways about it but I'm sure some will think he should stay nevertheless..

You can have foreign currency accounts in British banks
It's what shows in the books that matter, United is a UK company so the accounts have to be in Sterling

Manchester United Ltd is registered in the United States (Delaware or Utah) if I'm not mistaken.

Part of me just wants us to break negotiations with PSG. We'd lose ton of money and have an unhappy player but his disrespectful behaviour is disgusting. What a mentally weak person he turned out to be.

If he has "refused" to join, I would not sell him at all to PSG unless they meet our demands. I would rather he rot in reserves if he shows that stinking attitude.

No thanks. Don't want his negativity to contaminate our dressing room.

By all means squeeze as much as we can out of PSG, but don't just keep him for the sake of spite (we'll reserve that treatment towards Madrid :))

Agree.
We probably wont do that, keep him to rot in the reserves, but I hope we'll have a firm stance with PSG now he has done that.
Absolutely shocking behaviour. PSG can have him. He'll probably get depressed at the 1st sign of rain in Paris.

Roy Keene on Di Maria.

And lose £45m? No thanks. Letting him rot in the reserves benefits no one, just ship him out to PSG for a decent price.

What an asshat. Forcing a move after 1 season.

Understood him wanting to leave with shit happening off the pitch but assumed he would be professional and act accordingly until the PSG contract was signed. Can't denty he is a class player and he showed glimpses of what he can do last season but lets be honest, he's robbed a living since signing for us. Am sure he was on a hefty weekly wage and his output was pathetic at times. The least he could do is keep his head down and go along with the 'process'.

The registered office but the company, is on the US market and Singapore(?). Also the Glazer's foundation that own the club is also registered in the US.

Yes is a multi-national company but as it trades in the UK it has to have accounts in the UK. How the structure is set up and what shows up where I don't know

No way. If we don't take a stand now, further down the line more players will think they can force their way out of the club by doing such antics and the buying club will have him for a relatively cheaper price. I would rather we make an example of how we deal with such situations. Pretty much like how we are doing with DDG.

We, as a club and LVG as manager, seem to be fine in letting players move on relatively cheaply to ensure they can still earn good money elsewhere. We are also accommodating if a player wants to move to another club. However, this nonsense of not joining the squad to try and push your move through does not sit well with me. We are Manchester United and we won't be pushed around.
If Mendes has any hand in it, I hope we fecking screw him up big time.

Yeah and if we act like a bunch of children and ask him to play in reserves because he doesn't like it here and wants to leave, consequently losing out on £45m we're going to look brilliant in the eyes of potential future signings.

I don't know myself I'm just throwing info, maybe someone can help us understand.

We could demand a full refund on the cnut. £60m or gtfo. If PSG don't want to pay he may rot here for all we care. It won't be the club's fault. Win - win.

This is why DDG deserves our respect, he could be whining and 'missing planes' but he's out there on tour putting 100% in and being professional about it, unlike ADM who appears to be throwing his toys out of the pram.

Oh not that again. Spurs take a strong stand with every player who wants to move, yet players sign for them. You think players were put off when we refused to sell Heinze to Pool and even fought it out in court. You think young players would not join us because of one Ljajic case? Many clubs have taken a strong stance with players over their sale but that rarely, if ever, puts off potential signings. If the player acts like such a cnut, you think prospective clubs are put off from buying a player? If not, then why would you be worried especially considering we are Manchester United, not some two-bit club who just happened to run into money.

Yes, mostly mid-table players who have nowhere else to go and have no . When have they last signed a world class talent that United will aim for?

Again, from business perspective it's beyond ridiculous to give up on £45m to make a statement. It's like being unhappy with your Mercedes and drowning it in a lake to show that if you're unhappy you can go ballistic. It's literally beyond my imagination why anyone would ever attempt this. This is certainly no way to run a football club, or any business at all.

Let's kill De Gea while we're at it. Hire a hitman and gun the fecker down. That will show them.

I wonder where do PSG want to use him? If he plays on the wing he's not worth the money they pay for him.

No point for us to keep him anymore, if he has another shit year where he can't get past Ashley fecking Young to start games, we will be lucky to get 30m for him next year.
