I might be getting ahead of myself but it appears to be done so i'll just say i'm so disappointed in this lad what weak resolve and lack of determination he has. Hes going to do well with PSG in a shit league and he'll do well in the CL when needed but my god hes a pussy thats really the only way I can describe him. Biggest flop in the history of our club bar none.

The way he dives, rolls himself on the ground and shies away from physical battle is a good indicator that he's a bit of a pussy indeed.

Our record with Argentinians... amirite? Next year Rojo will go on strike...
Already did. Millionaires don't usually have issues with their passports, they are rich enough to have someone take care of that for them. He's probably too busy hitting it up with the hookers.

Part about the strike is a joke of course (for now) but rest of is true

I don't think so, these immigration issues cannot be bent for even the rich people. Just today 4 Roma players including Gervinho and Ljajic were denied entry into Indonesia where they were supposed to play a friendly.

Sorry, but it is. Players that rich should have someone sort out passport and visa issues ahead of time. If they get denied a visa, then its different. Rojo had issues with his work permit last year, that's understandable, but this trip i am sure was planned ahead of time giving him plenty of time to have someone to sort out whatever issues he had.

Ideally I wanted him to stay.
But if he is going and we can wrap up the sell before 1st August and get 46M Pound or above for him, I don't mind.
I wanted him to stay and do well, I was nervous about it. Just felt that he would have a baggage of the money he was bought for and the crap season he had. That would make him nervous too.
I hope we can spend upto 35-40m and get a good replacement.

Not saying there's anything improper behind this, but I'm confused about Rojo's "immigration issues". Did he lose his passport? FFS, he's an international professional footballer who travels abroad constantly. Shouldn't the club be handling all his travel arrangements to presumably avoid any immigration issues?

now we can see the transformation from '£60m flop' to 'best player sold after a year' among media and rivals.

I don't think its a passport issue, more like trouble getting a visa into America, coming from a Latin American country, which is not surprising. He was possibly a bit tardy and did not make the arrangements on time, given that he barely had 2 weeks since the copa America, that's excusable.

This thread has become epic:wenger::wenger::lol::lol:. How united fans have loved Di Maria like they got some messiah last season and now this. From the first game it was clear that he is not made to play in the PL nor made to fit in a hardworking LVG system. He is a very weak one-dimensional winger and a liability to play in midfield in the PL. I dunno why United fans have kept their hopes high for this guy even after the performances he gave last season.

By the way, the Schweinsteiger transfer is also not gonna be that great. He will stay injured for half the time.

Try wumming more and let's see how long you stay here too.

Amazing how quickly it's gone downhill with him.

Everything seemed so rosy after those first 5 games...

Somehow I don't think ADM cares too much at this point. He has gotten the move he's wanted all along, probably with a pay rise too. Meanwhile we shelled out what's now in effect 14 plus million quid (60m we paid - 46m currently rumoured to be offered) for him (plus his wages) to rent him for one year. If we didn't do so well in transfers this summer, I would say a lot of journos would be skinning Ed for getting screwed so badly by RM over the 60m we paid to get him (when there was really no other market for him since at that point PSG were financially restricted).

People really are going overboard with their comments. No one knows why he missed his flight, it could be due to a variety of legitimate reasons.

Yes, but those reasons LVG would have no clue about? C'mon...

What are you even talking about ? He was great in his first few matches. Talk about rewriting history.

If I was a United fan I'd try to be positive.Sometimes the signings are good and other are bad,the next year his value in market would be much lower and I feel that he would never reach your expectations. With that money Manchester can get a couple of good players for 30m€

 Love it when opposition fans go "I told you so" and "Look at me, I'm Nostradamus" in the same post.

Will you give us Isco for 30 mil?

My point is that we've the money, but good attacking players aren't on the market currently.

this

Its not as if PSG aren't loaded. If we have to spend top dollar to get our players than why shouldn't other do the same with our players? After all we had to spend 60m to get ADM in the first place

He was one of the very most hardworking players under Ancelotti when they won their lel decima. It's not like he's been slacking in our team and actually at first he was setting the world alight with his performances then it dipped.

Scouts, seriously, step it up.

Because his value has dropped after the season he had. We purchased him after he had the best season of his career. The price mentioned is as good as it can be for a player who, as it seems, we can't wait to get rid and desperately wants out himself.

We better have a good replacement lined up. Mata just doesn't cut in on the right for me.

We have a Nostradamus here.

I do think there were points last season, especially towards the end, where he looked like he didn't give a feck. He'd probably made his mind up by then he wanted to run away and find an easier league.

If his last Utd game turns out to be that 20 minutes at Hull then it will be very apt. Did nothing, went off over what looked like a nothing injury.

I imagine that United knew about his wish to leave months ago.Turan was in the market,Draxler,Gotze,Griezmann,Reus...surely could have been options if the club have tried it months ago.In la liga they can get cheap good players as well.Maybe the club was too slow or maybe they already have a plan B.

Di Maria is NOT a winger. He drifts sometimes on the side but he's mainly an attacking midfield who supports the strikers and link with the midfield. That's his best role.

I think it looks pretty likely now that we're signing Pedro so he will probably be deemed the replacement by van Gaal. Not the big blockbuster signing some would want to replace our most expensive player but I believe it will prove to be the smart option. Pedro could easily be an excellent signing for us, he has all the qualities needed to be a very good team player who will work hard and get plenty of assists and goals for us. Even if we get Pedro I'd love us to unsettle Madrid further by sending them over some record breaking offers for Ronaldo or Bale, that would be entertaining.

Oh look, the Oracle.

I think their is a contingency plan already in process. LVG did say that there will be a surprise signing but not the striker the media are talking about it, so leads me to think its for a different position. If I was to bring anyone in for decent money to replace Di-Maria then it would be Pedro. He has all the attributes to make it as a United player and the philosophy will be similar between United and Barca. I also think playing in the Barca team shows he is more of a selfless team player rather than looking for money or personal accomplishments, these will come if your good enough anyway.

Never really wanted to leave Real Madrid, never really wanted to play for United, hated Manchester, wasn't as influential or scintillating on the pitch as his astronomical fee suggested, isn't mentally disciplined or aggressive enough to play in the PL and now, to be honest, disrespects the club....plus he looks like a special needs person...

Ship the loser out...

Pedro could easily be an excellent signing for us and unlike Di Maria, van Gaal will get the best out of him. Loved how Di Maria lit up the league when he signed but it looks like he doesn't have the mentality or bollocks needed to make it at a club like United.

Or doesn't fit a manager's vision, which is averse to risk taking. I think it's a combination of factors, and it is not right to just blame the player for everything that has gone wrong.

Pedro will be a bit underwhelming for me. Never considered him a top player. Someone who excels because of others, not someone who'll make other players better. Though I am sure he'll be better than Mata on the right.

Yeah, that was the problem, clearly. It was Van Gaal that made Di Maria play like he couldn't be arsed. Fecking hell. Every single post you make is some sort of veiled snipe at the manager. Your negativity is unbelievably tedious. Maybe you should take a break from watching/talking about United until there's a manager in charge that meets your exacting standards? Congratulations on being the second person I have ever used the ignore function on. See ya.

I know. Hence it was wrong by LVG to stuck him out on the wings in a 4-3-3. To be fair, he was not fitting into anything else other than 4-4-2 I feel.
