Navas and Coentrao should welcome Morata into their support group.
Nope, Morata is a better footballer and has a higher ceiling if given the lead role at United due to his wider skillset.
The fans don't want him to go, it's Benzema they don't rate. Doubt the fans will be happy with the perceived way he has been treated by Perez. It's frustrating as you're clearly on-board the Morata hype bus but he's genuinely not as good as you are making him out. He's not a prolific goal scorer, he doesn't get loads of assists, he's not that fast or physically imposing, is he that good a finisher?...he's just a good player at a great club and they're building him up as they want to cash in. RM don't need money, they don't sell players unless they want to.

Or simply change how we play football...But Zlatan's abilities on the ball played a part in creating those chances. His legs were largely gone, but he was still above most strikers in terms of movement, intelligence and technical abilities. You'd now have to insert Lukaku in his place in the passing chain.
(obligatory Squawka stats comparison:

Not saying it can't work, but the creative balance will probably have to be recalibrated.
Can you be a top side without a forward who can link up play though?Or simply change how we play football...
Yes, that's what I meant with the last sentence.Or simply change how we play football...

How is it cnutish? It's cnutish from Madrid and only Madrid. We wanted him Madrid played hardball.Feel sorry for Morata if the reports are true. Seems a bit cnutish by us. However, if he had pushed through the move a bit earlier in the window, it would've happened IMO.

Totally disagree. We tried to sign him and Perez asked for 90 fecking million euro. Perez thought we had no option and would not budge. Well feck him. We offered 60 million pounds which was more than fair and he said feck off. Morata can go hate him as he's the cnut. We have no time for Madrid and their foolishness.Feel sorry for Morata if the reports are true. Seems a bit cnutish by us. If he moves well off the ball, yes, absolutelyCan you be a top side without a forward who can link up play though?
Stephen Howson thought he'd have a go at being ITK when Morata looked very close. Embarrassing it took about 10 hours for his tweet to be exposed as pure bullshit. Just seen a video of him making out he was there when Pogba signed and has known Lukaku was in the works for over a year. Such an attention seeker.

Yep. That's what Acquire Me was trying on here and then he got made to look a mug r.e. Griezmann. Although that one would be easy to get out of. I do think Griezmann was meant to be coming but changed his mind.Easiest trick im the book, isn't it? When you know a deal is supposed to be close, claim it is done. You'll probably end up looking right and there are enough idiots who will see it as proof you have inside information.

It's more what had been said to him. I guess we don't know the story - perhaps we communicated to his camp that we wanted the deal but wouldn't meet the asking price.Totally disagree. Lukaku is good with both feet, strong, quick and great in the air.I agree and disagree! Lukaku is limited as a footballer and won't be pretty to watch in some ways. He is also not worth 75 million. He is also unlikely to be influential in big games. What he will do however is be a hell of a lot more clinical than any player we've had for years against the smaller teams. This is what we need in the premier league. Morata is a fantastic player and would have been great for us and he will be great for whichever club he goes to but to me it all felt like a short term thing - a stepping stone to return to Madrid in a few years.
Time will tell!
How'd you explain that one then? @Acquire MeAlso regarding Morata, last night he also posted 'Its done ' then the Lukaku story broke shortly afterwards.
well yes, we don't really know what was said to him. Though I suspect we wanted him to push harder for a move away. But I remember him coming out and saying he wants to stay at RM. Unlike Lukaku who basically said I'm off and can't wait to goIt's more what had been said to him. I guess we don't know the story - perhaps we communicated to his camp that we wanted the deal but wouldn't meet the asking price.
Deal was €5M apart. It was pretty much done. What happened was, in the meantime Everton's position on Lukaku softened considerably and you felt you could close a deal for him. Lukaku being the higher priority, you chose to close that deal instead of Morata's
Yep. Think Rooney going to everton was the key to getting this doneYep, it's clear that what happened. We played on both deals but since Lukaku seemed Chelsea bound the more focus was on Morata till we got a chance to go for Lukaku and decided to go for it.

How'd you explain that one then? @Acquire Me
It's not much to explain mate. I heard that it was done, but it was all a big smokescreen. So my friend don't get good information anymore and that's me done.
Only one I feel sad for is Morata. The way we used him is not very good imo. I hope for his sake we still are in for him. That said, it was a genius move from Woodward to pull this off. No one saw that coming, at least not Real Madrid and Chelsea.
You have to be extremely blinkered to think he's good with both feet. He's comfortable shooting off either foot but that's about it. His first touch puts a buffalo in a china shop to shame and his positional awareness is sub par at best.Lukaku is good with both feet, strong, quick and great in the air.
On what planet is he limited?
We didn't use anyway. We offered +70m for him what else can we do ? If he wants to blame someone it's Perez then because he clearly didn't want to sell him if he's asking for 90m.
Lukaku was the priority, obviously. The moment you saw you could get it done, Morata deal was off. It's not a smokescreen or anything, it's just working on multiple options and going for the one you consider the bestIf the finale obstacle was €5, then I think we kind of used him. But that's my opinion.

What are you smoking?Real Madrid aren't the cnuts here.
