Stock market dealings are not a myth.

Timing I suppose. I heard something similar happened with Pogba last year. Deal was done, including the recording of the Stormzy video, before he went on his USA holiday.

So which one is it? I was under the impression that any deal had to be declared due to the structure of our club. Surely this means we can't withhold on announcing it just so we can put together marketing videos?

It doesn't have to be declared until the club are prepared to present it. Whether a marketing video exists or not, it is still a part of the process.

Timing would be taken in consideration if we were signing a big name player. Morata is more of a Lindelof type of signing then a Pogba one

I thought after 10 years we were finally over the stock exchange myth. I guess not.

The market thing doesn't apply to roster moves. It would be relevant if the club was firing Woodward or something like that.

No news is good news. Right? In a cup half full kind of way.

More importantly can this thread reach 500 pages before the announcement is made.

Stock market dealings are not a myth.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, our biggest ever signing, Pogba, was announced around 12:45am BST, on Tuesday 9th August. Which would have been around 19:45 in NY, US, whereby stock exchange would have been closed?!

The idea that we need to announce transfer dealings to the Stock Exchange is utterly bullshit and a complete and total myth. It is simply not true in any way, shape or form.

Didn't we delay the official announcement of Pogba's transfer until the NYSE re-opened for trading the following monday? I thought this was legally binding.

Surely United announcing recent signings on Saturday puts this myth to bed anyway? Yet still it is brought up.

Oh no, don't you remember...pogba announcement was delayed until 1245 gmt to coincide with when the far east are just getting up

I have a shady/good feeling that this is totally wrapped up and Woodie just not announcing it out of tactical reasons for other transfers to take/not take place.

Shock, horror that it was nothing to do with the stock exchange? Clearly Woodward has no idea what he is doing. Let's start a Twitter petition to get him sacked!

You seem pretty sure that he's not signing for us and Sanchez is all but a City player, how do you come to that conclusion?

How long does it take to wrap up a transfer when all parties are in agreement?

It'd be done if it was on the cards

I doubt any wives would want to cut short their honeymoon, so there is one party that may not be in agreement.

Stock market dealings are not a myth.

When it comes to announcing signings, it is.
Lindelof - was he not announced on Saturday, when the stock market was closed? Someone will need to verify this.

Put it another way: what signing, do we know for a fact, was held up due to the stock market?

Yes, Lindelof was announced on a Saturday.

The NYSE rules about public announcements of significant news are related to things that could impact the share price so as to prevent possible insider trading.

The most significant news to come out of United in most of our lifetimes was SAF retiring, which was announced at 9am UK time.

This bollocks is brought up every window and debunked over and over yet morons keep bringing it back up.

Tuesday is the day guys, I can feel it in my water, 4th July is important to Americans and the Glaziers ŵill celebrate with at LEAST TWO MAJOR SIGNINGS, Morata for sure and I still have a hunch for Fabinho, yes it's full muppet mode but ffs it's so boring I have to occupy myself with some fantasy.

That's expectation.

Here's reality - nothing happens

Would it be that big a deal if we didn't sign him? He's got a nice skill set but has proven so little at the top level. His biggest achievement appears to be scoring lots of goals as a backup striker for a team that was absolutely on fire last season. He's never really achieved anything or proven anything as the main star striker at a big club. As much as I think he could be very good for us, he's not exactly a top top player and his performances don't come anywhere close to these absurd fees being talked about.

I wouldn't be disappointing with us signing him because his skillset very good. If he has overcome his goalscoring record problems then hell do great for us. But based on that track record I wouldn't be disappointed if we missed out either.

Pogba and Stormzy didn't record that video together, Stormzy did his bit and then the Pogba stuff was added in later once the deal was done.

Which striker would you prefer?

Just missing a random fan handing him a United shirt to sign and we've got a full house on Transfer Window bingo

I was talking in general of nonsense that gets spouted about. No one serious will talk about shirt sales while taking Morata at the moment.

This transfer basically has had no news for ages now and thus have people discussing the same stuff that have been done to death.

What has she got to with announcing a deal ?

If it was done why hasn't it been announced?
