One of the main reasons Morata is benched is so that Benzema can be on the pitch to offer service and legs to Ronaldo, both things which Morata doesn't really give to them. Benzema is like a really good Lingard in his current role. If Ronaldo leaves they won't sell.

It does though. One of the reasons why Morata does not start is because Benzema is a better foil for Ronaldo. Ronaldo leaving means that Morata has a better chance to displace Benzema at his boyhood club.
The dream scenario is that we seal the Morata deal soon, then sign Ronaldo. Real can then use the money to buy Mbappe and Hazard, thus weakening our rival.
Benzema is a better foil because he is a top striker and he creates chances and is relatively selfless. He would link up very well with any star they buy because of that. It's not like only Ronaldo and Benzema have an understanding and Benzema will be benched if ronaldo leaves.
Makes sense for them to prioritize keeping Ronaldo happy over selling players. We might have to reactivate interest in Belotti although i'd prefer someone else.
The whole CR situation is just a waste of energy, just get this signing done and dusted.

True, but if they get a "less selfish" star like Mbappe or Hazard to replace Ronaldo, Zidane may decide that Morata will be a better fit. Anyway, I think Ronaldo leaving will turn Morata's head at least a little.
Nah they aren't going to buy someone to replace ronaldo and then not make him the centre of the attack. If they buy Mbappe then Mbappe will get all the chances similar to how ronaldo does.
I doubt they will go for Hazard personally. Maybe Mbappe or aubameyang or maybe even someone like Alli. Goal scorers.
