Will people stop going on about harry Kane it's not going to happen not for 100 million not for 150 million. Plus there's not even been one link
I love these type of comments. I think it is the arrogance that suggests all we have to do is bid and said player will come to United that amuses me.
Why should we care about inflating the market? We can afford it. It's clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal who will suffer, not us.
Another strange thing too. Benzema is keeping him on the bench, but I bet we could get him for cheaper.Strange thing is he is the bench player but Benzema has actually scored less goals than him
We didnt demand a fair price; we were ready to accept just about 29 mil for De Gea. We deliberately dragged it and then when the fax problems happened, it was too late for anything to happen.
The only way how you can resolve this kind of situations and to send a message to other clubs is to just walk away.
If we value morata lets say 50-55mil euros. Ok, they are also huge club, not desperate to sell, we can raise to 60 and that must be final offer.
Go on another target. Other clubs will also learn from that. But if we pay for morata 90 mil, we deserve to be ripped off for every player in future.
Morata is a player who is payed 40 mil last year. Had decent season. And now he is 90 mil player?? Come on, this is ridiculous. It is not my money, club have money, etc.. but we will be idiots if we pay that kind of money for morata. Also they have benzema, they want mbappe so they are not against selling , they just want to see how much can get.
I find it so funny that there was a fax machine problem. Just isnt believable.
Maybe we can cool it down on Morata for a moment and try Lewa instead?

With better management we would never have needed a stop gap like Zlatan in the first place. It's thanks to Moyes and van Gaal that Jose was left with a shite squad and had to resort to bringing in a 35 year old. Better management avoids the situation we find ourselves in now.
i has got millionz, bludHow much are we talking here?
I also don't believe it.
The thing is they dragged it all summer. We were ready to sell him for a decent price seeiing as his contract was running out and he wasn't renewing and wanted the move. But Real Madrid waited till the very end of the window to make a bid we were almost forced to accept. I mean 29m and Navas was better than nothing and having DDG go for free. They knew that, they didn't want to give us alot of negotiation time so we could ask for more or look for alternatives. But LVG played it ballzy and did what Real would not expect, he dragged out on the transfer deadline day. Blamed it on the fax in the media but in reality it was us screwing Real over by faxing in the documents too late. It showed DDG one important thing, United want him more than Real want him. He did the smart thing and he signed on and Real Madrid really burned themselves on that one. We got lucky DDG is a smart guy who knew if he wanted to play in the euros and not have the worst season of his career, his only option was to sign on. It was a major bluff by LVG but it worked.
Thats just assuming that the market will not crash or at least level out at some point. We currently can afford it but what if one year something happens that makes us less capable of paying crazy fees like if the standard cost of a good striker becomes 60 or 70 million? Constantly
If that does happen then every club will be in the same boat, except we will have the funds that others don't. We are in the top 2 or 3 clubs in terms of spending power and that isn't likely to change soon. Whatever striker we get it's going to cost 60m or more.
Strange how people are suddenly acting like £100m is nothing.
Offer Spurs £130m for a player and they're accepting it, the feck you on about? they've sold better players for much less. They always sell.
Spurs always sell their star players but have this mystical appearance of being a non-selling club I dont get it.
This. At the very least it'll drive up the price for them. feck them, greedy fecks.Lets go all out on Mbappe and bid £150m and make Real squirm.
I don't disagree much.
But I would add that this is a very good argument for altering our basic structure and bringing in a DOF.
Someone who might have told LVG that getting rid of Chicharito isn't on – you may not fancy him right now, but you'll not remain in charge unless you get your shit together sharpish, so use him for rotation.
Or told Moyes that giving Rooney that contract is too bloody risky. And so forth.
If you insist on giving the manager total control, there's a price to pay if said manager fecks up.
You make it seem like that was years ago. Also they'll always be a selling club for the right price.First : They stopped being a selling club after the Bale transfer.
Second : 130m won't even be enough to get Kane in a market in which Lukaku is 100m, Belotti 100m and Morata 90m and he's better than all of them.

I'd rather have an inferior team than spend too much of the Galzers' money.
None of them have actually moved though have they?
It's like me saying Darmian is worth £150m he's worth shit until someone spends the money on him.
They dont just stop being a selling club mate, they've accepted money before they will do again. They have more TV money for sure but they also have a new stadium to pay for, there's hardly a club in the world who could turn down £130m for a player.

I used to have quite a low bar for embarrassment just like you. But then I stopped worrying about what people thought of me and became a confident adult. I get laid a lot more often these days.I assume your being sarcastic. I'm not a fan of the Glazers and don't care about spending their cash so much. But it's just embarrassing being made to pay through the teeth for a player only good enough to get on Madrids bench.
That kind of mentality does not work. But like Madrids bench is full of fantastic players? Why is that a problem? If a player will improve us they're worth the money we pay
If they've already sounded Mbappe out then they probably already know he won't come here. Would make more sense to pursue someone they're not in contact with.Lets go all out on Mbappe and bid £150m and make Real squirm.

But they wouldn't? Even before we were interested the rumoured price was €90m.That kind of mentality does not work.
Small clubs can sign for much less than us for a same player.
ImAgine if ac Milan or inter or Napoli would be buying morata he would go for much less.
Mbappe has stated he wants Champions League football and a guaranteed starting role, I think. He's only getting one of those at Madrid. If they've already sounded Mbappe out then they probably already know he won't come here. Would make more sense to pursue someone they're not in contact with.
Lukaku has been priced by Everton as a 100m, and Belotti price is his release clause which Torino refuse to negotiate anything except it. Madrid is the one asking for 90m for Moratat so yep it's their price in the market. If no one is willing to pay such prices, it doesn't mean they aren't priced like this does it ?
Till they sell one of their stars again we can talk about them being a selling club or not, but if the price asked for Morata is 90m why will they not try to milk Kane as much as possible and he's better than anyone available ?
If some Milan clubs or Monaco or any other medium sized club would be in for morata do you think they would have been quoted and paid 90 m euros? If morata wanted to leave?
No it's just the case of acting like a buthurt mob who wants to spend silly money on kid because they are going to get fleeced as well for him.
Which unrproven striker goes for 90 m money. Lukakus case is different with richer epl and still they won't get anywhere near 100 m they quote which I think will be more like 80 m only the price Madrid is quoting for morata.
But they wouldn't? Even before we were interested the rumoured price was €90m.
