Send Rooney to Madrid to sit on the bench, they would have another galactico signing

Where did it say we bid for him?
In this twitter thread. Also there was a report this week that said Real want to lower the price, but can't because of PSG and madrid.

Seriously though, if we backed off and they want to fund their Mbappe pursuit, who else is going to give them 90mill for Morata.
No one because they dont really want to sell Morata. Also they can come with Mbappe if they wanted too. They dont need outside help per say.

I hope we never put ourselves in this situation again, where we're desperate for a striker. We're still paying the price for the disastrous appointments of Moyes and van Gaal.

Fine even if we bid it needs to be accepted though. I was talking about the fact that if we have a bid accepted, then it means Monaco are willing to sell and it will certainly turn his head and he may weigh his options.

Wanna bet? James has to go at least to fund there world record bid.
They make almost as much money as we do. They just won two UCL's. Prize money from TV for all going all the way and winning would have already gone a long way. And of course they sell someone each summer which helps.

Maybay we can make an offer with Chelsea for Diego Costa. Have him as Zlatan's replacement for 1 year and sell him to Atletico Madrid next summer in exchange for Griezmann.

Let Real get Mbappe and see how Morata's situation looks next year when he is up against Benzema and Mbappe. If it is another season of bench warming he might start throwing a fuzz and Real might start to see some reason in selling him.

This is getting tiresome. There's got to be someone else out there who can come in and do a job (what do our scouts do?)

Madrid want way too much money for a bench player who is good but not great (yet). We'd be setting a bad precedent as well, not worth it.
Just tell this Morata guy that if he really wants to come, he and his agent need to work on Madrid. Otherwise, just leave them to it.

Around and around in circles we go...
"Sign Mbappe instead"
"Sign Aubameyang instead"
"Sign Belotti instead"

Yes everytime the same story is rehashed and regurgitated that has been running for the last week.

  • United agree personal terms
  • United offer 70€
  • 48 hours deal complete
  • Real want 90€
  • Redcafe meltdown
Very few know where the negotiations are at, certainly not the guy who starts his tweets with 'boom'. #145.

This time it's ibras Injury.
With better management we would never have needed a stop gap like Zlatan in the first place. It's thanks to Moyes and van Gaal that Jose was left with a shite squad and had to resort to bringing in a 35 year old. Better management avoids the situation we find ourselves in now.

Can't stand him, but would take Costa for a season tbh. Doubt he would come though as I thought he'd fallen out with Mourinho?

If Madrid think we're paying 70-80 % of the Mbappe transfer fee for them then they should be told to do one very quickly, losing Morata to them is the equivalent of us losing Mata, a kick on the balls, but we'll get over it, and as such a £40-£50 million fee is about right.

To be fair we signed martial as a striker and no9 and back tracked on him. There were no good strikers at that moment which were proven.

Agreed

That stupid decision of LVG to have Rooney as the main striker. He has really hurt us with that.

Griezmann fecked us over good aswell.

Real are having a laugh asking for 90 mil.

I don't mind Morata, but I think 90 is excessive.

If the deal failed we'll have no other option but to pay the release clause of Belotti and get him ASAP without negotiations as Torino won't negotiate the price either, what was his release clause, 87m pound I think ? He'll be nearly the same price of Morata tbh.

Well, Real want 90m, and Belotti clause is 100m, so who is better?

Feck him tbh. He would have solved lots of our forward problems and didn't put us in such a pressure in each striker transfer as this.

Dzeko has had a very good season as well (30 goals for Roma). I would not mind him as a stop gap, but I doubt Roma would sell for him a decent price and he is 31 years old.

Lacazette is available aswell but I just can't get excited about that guy at all.

Morata fits the profile of a Mourinho type striker better. That's why we want him and not the other 2.
Profile? Nah I'm not buying that. Auba cannot do what Morata does? Icardi can as well. You cannot tell me that Morata is the only striker that will play well in a Mourinho setup. Morata's price is ridiculous and Madrid are and will continue to play games with us like we did with them with De Gea last year. We need to move on from him; this is an exercise in futility.

Are we really trying to spend this much on a bench player for Madrid? Think of how that will affect us with our dealings with other clubs. Inter are already trying to rinse us with the Perisic fee.

Don't expect anything from the mob.

If they accept 70m there is a chance of getting mbappe for 20 m less too with negotiations.

They are playing a dangerous game of overinflating the market each and every year.

We dint play games with de gea at all. We demand a fair price for a world class player.

We didnt demand a fair price; we were ready to accept just about 29 mil for De Gea. We deliberately dragged it and then when the fax problems happened, it was too late for anything to happen.
