Álvaro Morata | Chelsea player

Morata is a really good player - I'm a big fan of his however I wouldnt describe him as a prolific goal scorer.
I don't really think he's had much of a chance apart from at Juve, but as we know with strikers sometimes the penny drops and you just find the knack, a bit like Kane did.

Im referring in terms of ridicule. Conte '100euros' speech was meant to justify why his team couldn't advance in the CL. After he left, Juventus came to a whisker away from winning the CL

Oh, alright then. Tbf they did spend a lot last year because of the Pogba money - they bought all the best players of their league (Higuain, Pjanic).

If the lindelof announcement is any indication of timing, we might get an announcement today. If SER are right of course.

That is the most absurd fee. I expected it to be 60 million. 80 is too much. We have been taken to the cleaners for a guy who has scored 40 goals in 7 years.

So here is what I think. We will probably sign Morata. However we better hurry in doing so. Conte is very choosy, he just love working with his former men because of it and to facilitate things up he keeps regular contact with them (including Morata). If Conte wants a player then its within his club’s interest to sign him up. Else they risk Conte losing it and that’s not pretty.
It dont mattaer what you think or what you believe conte would or wouldn't do. Its us and Milan and Milan are out.... we await the answer

It is around the 60M POUNDS them figures are euros

80m is an insane price. Can't believe that we are going to pay a little bit less than what we paid for Pogba to get Morata. We are so screwed if he turns out to be a huge flop.

There'll be a difference of around 20m between his and Pogba fees even if the price is 80m Euros which is the highest point.

Seriously, do you see a difference between £ and € ? Might as well write it in Russian rubles, 5 billion rubles

£66m for a 24yr old international footballer, with 4 years left on his contract and a fee that won't be a full payment upfront, it will be made up of clauses / instalments.

The lad only played an average of 51 minutes per game in his 26 league appearances and had a GPGR of 1 every 89mins... Not bad at all in my eyes, especially in today's market.

Look I don't know much about him except for Youtube videos but others have countless number of times explained that he hasn't been a regular starter either for Juventus and Real Madrid. So please can we stop talking about the number of goals he has scored!!! And plus I don't know why you are calculating the number of goals he has scored since he was about 17!

58 goals in 5 years, according to his Wiki stats. His first 2 seasons in the senior team, he only made a total of 3 appearances in all comps, so a bit harsh to include those.

He outscored Benzema last season, in much, much fewer minutes.

his goals to minutes is very good. He just hasn't been a starter in his career yet. He scores when he plays, but the amount of goals is being criticised, without looking at the amount of minutes he is given, which isn't really fair.

We're living in a time in which Kyle Walker is likely to fetch 50m quid, insane indeed.

Pogba will very soon look a massive bargain.

Transfer fee is going up daily....need to get it done asap before it creeps to £100m

You have a very odd definition of "a little bit".

if the fee is 60m pounds, would anyone still not prefer lukaku for the same money? (if possible) To me it'd be a no brainer

Exactly. Cant see why the fee is such a big deal considering the market has gone insane.

At this point the Spanish media are just guessing and they add a new twist every time... Onda Cero said a few days ago that it was done and he'd fly to Manchester yesterday.

Most probably Lindelof will be wrapped up before anything concrete happens with Morata.

How much are you having to pay towards the fee?

The way you're talking seems like it will affect you somehow.

But guys, there is some bullshit numbers in that article. The actuall price is not that high nor are is his wages. There is no way on gods green earth that he's on €480K a week

Its clickbait crap that the anti united brigade will spout at every miss on goal.

Goals per minute stat can't be the reason why a team like Man Utd buys a striker. I can find you plenty of players who have better goals per minute stat. There is a huge difference in being that player who leads the line for 90 minutes for a team that would in most games be happy to score 1 or 2 compared to being an impact sub for a European giant.
I'd like to see these plenty of players actually. Bear in mind, they'd have to be reasonably attainable and have played a meaningful amount of minutes. I'd say 1000+.

Rather spend £70m on Lewandowski if this reported fee is any where near accurate.

Bayern will never sell - no point as they can't find a replacement. Lewandowski would never want to come to - why leave if he is a starter for Bayern? Even then, 70m pounds won't get him in today's market.

Absolutely not, they are roughly the same age and Morata has proved he can do it on the biggest stages, Lukaku has proved he can bang you a hattrick against Bournemouth, I think Lukaku is a good player but so overhyped, I've said before he will never be the man to drag you through the big games, we may as well sign Defoe, he'd do the same job, Morata is powerful, strong, fast and has a much better touch and technical ability than Lukaku
