Luckily for us Ozil would be going to a club that's going to be competing for 4th and not directly affecting us.

Don't go about giving me logic! I won't entertain logic when it comes to Ozil! Seriously, I think he's freakin awesome and I'd take him as a no.10 over Rooney or Kagawa.

On a more serious note, I think our wide options aren't great. Young and Valencia offer little going forward and Nani has been either injured or out of favor or not in form for ages now. So someone like kagawa operating as a inside wide attacking midfielder of sorts is something I'm thinking might be a good idea. Besides, I don't see why a trip of Rooney, kagawa and Ozil wouldn't work in behind Rvp. Or at least two out of those three alongside someone like nani who can bring a little wide play in.

More importantly, I think it will kill the need to have a really creative midfielder like fabregas. If we have Ozil as a number 10, you can get away with a solid midfield behind that passes the ball tidily and you probably don't need a Modric or fabregas behind.

Even if you sign Ozil I think you'd need someone playing next to Carrick. I think your wingers are out of form rather than lacking quality.

Who knows what will happen, I am not going too get excited until the deal is done.
