Moyes has no faith in Kagawa if he can't get in the team ahead of Young and Giggs. At least then replace him with one of the best in the world in his position.

The thing is, I can see why we would not be after Ozil. We need central midfielders, not an Ozil type of player, despite him being obviously top class.

Arsenal could certainly do with a top class player after letting RVP and Cesc go in recent years as he adds the star quality that they have lost in recent years.

I'd be much happy if we nabbed Fellaini and/or Herrara. It's what we need.

Did Moyes not say and I quote, "Manchester United are always looking at the worlds best players."

That's the fecking problem we need to stop looking at them and buy a few.

Moyes/Woody you tease me all summer with ideas of Tiago, Cesc and now you want me to settle for side show fecking bod!!!

Woodward needs to take a hike if something isn't pulled off tomorrow and Moyes needs to get with the program quick time and realise we not Everton and Dorothy ain't in Kansas anymore!

Yeah. Arsenal getting Ozil would be maddening, especially if we don't put up a fight. He'd be an excellent signing.

We saw today how badly we need some creativity in the central areas.

The way I see it is that it'd be a good pb to have a player of Ozil's class. Just like RVP seemed overkill last season, you can never have enough great players.

You can have enough top players in one position if it means you don't strengthen the areas that need improving. RVP was very different as we did not have a top striker as good as him. In Ozil's position we already have Rooney, Kagawa and a whole host of talented attackers. Real used to have a conveyor belt of top attacking players and it reaches a point when it is overkill.

I have got similar feelings on signing Baines. We have enough good players at the left back and it just leave other missing out. If it was our intention then we should have let others leave.

There is only one area of the squad when we need to sign a player, preferably two and we should be putting all our resources there, even if it means spending more than we normally would.

Ozil would be ideal for Arsenal as they, for me, could benefit from some star quality and also there's an obvious spot for him. Very different situations.

I said a week ago that we can always depend on Arsenal to be shitter than us in the window, I may have to retract that statement after tomorrow.

I hope you were going for irony here.

If Moyes doesn't rate a #10 type player like Kagawa, I would assume he doesn't want another player in that mould like Ozil either.

Hey, if our team doesn't improve it will be him and Ed who will have to deal with the flak from the fans. I know Sir Alex asked for time for Moyes, but unfortunately there will be some fans who are looking for any excuse to have a go at him. The dealings in this transfer window were vital to how he will be viewed. At the moment it isn't good. Maybe there will be a surprise.

They're going to upstage us in a massive way. Ozil will be an absolutely stunning signing. We're going to end up with Fellaini and nothing else. Christ, it's a shame the board didn't listen to Fergie's "support the new manager" speech.

I get you but Ozil would be great to have, he's a better player than Kagawa for starters, a player a lot of people think he should start most matches. Ozil would start and Kagawa would be on the bench, I would have no pbs with that as Utd would only get better.
Ozil free to start on the right but roam everywhere, Nani on the left to keep some sort of width, Rooney playing behind RVP would have been too good

Unless you've not noticed we've got a 39 year old trying to play attacking midfield and not very well.

And Rooney coming back from injury, Kagawa + Nani regaining fitness with Zaha and Januzaj coming through.

I'm beginning to think the Dutch fellow who said Moyes was a Dinosaur may be on to something. Seems to just be interested in signing a player like Fellaini while overlooking class in the squad like Kagawa and available players like Mata, Ozil.

Is this being treated as fact now? I'd wait for a couple of games more to see if he still can't get into the team and then run with it.

This is bloody depressing.

Arsenal having a better window than us shameful. The only way we'll top them is if Cesc changes his mind and we bag him for £40m on Deadline Day.

Ozil and Mata would be brilliant playing in a midfield two

or we fill that number 7.......

That would be nice.

Personally, I don't see how Arsenal's wage structure could afford his reported demands.

The latter 2 shouldn't be a reason to pass on one of the greatest AM's in the world and like I said in another thread Ozil, Rooney and Kagawa would be a great setup just behind RvP.

And the rumor is he chose Arsenal over Man Utd, because Arsenal offered 7m a year, compared to our 5m a year.

I think I may cry.

A clamour for Ozil reminds me of all the disappointment in 2006 when Chelsea signed Ballack, Shevchenko and Cole and West Ham signed Tevez and Mascherano and we "only" signed Carrick. We signed in an area we needed strengthening and went after Senna and Hargreaves which would also have been an improvement. For me, you prioritise the areas you need strengthen the areas that are essential and have been neglected.

Our central midfield situation reminds me of when we suddenly sold Jaap and had to overpay for Rio in 2002. It's a situation mainly of our creation.

Never said they are the only players we should be looking to sign. Fellaini won't solve our problems either. Add him in our midfield today, the game doesn't change.

Dino Dave! I'm sure that can catch on!

Never going to happen. It will be a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 set up with Valencia and Young/Welbeck on the wings. Basically like last season without the world's greatest ever manager.

Since when?
Since we are intent on not using Kagawa and putting Giggs in his position. The difference between Ozil and Giggs in this formation is... well, don't even get me started.
