Problem is that if we're going to continue playing with 2 wingers, Özil creates one hell of a headache with regards to Rooney, Kagawa and our strikers. We'd probably have to offload either Rooney or Kagawa.

I want him too though, he's too good a player to turn down.

Why would we have to play with two wingers? Moyes prefers wing backs, so with Rooney, Kagawa, Ozil in behind RvP you couldn't say we would be short on creativity. Then you'd have the option of wing play when the game is stretched with the likes of Valencia, Nani, Zaha etc coming on. You'd also have the option of Welbeck.
 
FFS. fecking Arsenal signing Ozil. fecking cnuts. We better unveil Ronaldo and Modric tomorrow or I'm off to Woody's with a pitchfork.
 
I'm just setting myself for a disappointment tomorrow. All our rivals will have spent a lot and we'd done nothing. That's how I'd be feeling.

I'm not saying we have to, but that's what we've been doing for the past x years, so I'd be surprised if Moyes decided to change that. But I agree with you, it does sound mouth-watering. But he's going to Arsenal now anyway, so it's moot.

The thing is, I can see why we would not be after Ozil. We need central midfielders, not an Ozil type of player, despite him being obviously top class.

Arsenal could certainly do with a top class player after letting RVP and Cesc go in recent years as he adds the star quality that they have lost in recent years.

I'd be much happy if we nabbed Fellaini and/or Herrara. It's what we need.
 
Would be a terrific signing if true. Up until now I was thinking this would be the year that they'd slip out the top 4, but Ozil would be a superb player for them who would take them up a level.

Ozil to Arsenal will be a kick in the nuts. Even though I'm not very fussed about us getting him :D

He'd be great for them. And if any club in the prem could get him, I'd rather it be Arsenal.

The way I see it is that it'd be a good pb to have a player of Ozil's class. Just like RVP seemed overkill last season, you can never have enough great players.

The way we are going about it they will probably mess up the Fellaini deal somehow.
 
I'm just immensely surprised that Arsenal are still able to attract purely world class players even now. I mean yeah i'm fecking gutted that we didn't go all in for a player of his class with him being made available but fair play to arsenal and arsene. Good club!
