People slagging off Dalot, but he’s had our only decent chance, with a great shot…unfortunately Sá made a great save.

Ugarte doing a good job in CM, but Kobbie is a weak link there.
Defensively he’s nowhere and going forward he’s a bit inconsistent.
I’d put Casemiro on to partner Ugarte in the 2nd half to beef up the CM.

Amad being tightly marked and outmuscled.
That needs to be sorted out, because we’re not producing any attacking threat from the right hand side.

He's gotten absolutely zero service today. The midfield is a wasteland of creativity and others have been selfish when given an opportunity to pass. People love to blame it all on Hojlund because "durrrr he's da strika innit he shud score da goals", but there's nothing a lone striker can do without support. Erling Haaland looked like a pub player earlier today in a struggling Man City team and contributed nothing (less than nothing really counting the missed penalty). Not for the first time recently either, so I guess he's shite too.
Never mind the service because you're right but he cannot do the basic role of a CF anyway. Can't hold the ball, can't bring others into play, always loses his duels.

I don't understand why Mainoo is so slow. He looks like he should be far quicker than he is.

We're having real issues where he commits up the pitch, loses it and then can't get back quickly enough.

The less said about our main attacking outlet being Dalot the better.
I think the problem with Mainoo is that he makes too many mistakes today. He loses the ball too easy and can not pass the ball to a teammate. I would take him off and put Eriksen on. Eriksen`s strength is passing and creativity and we need both.

    2 evenly matched teams tbh
Wolves are more aggressive though and will win if we don't at least start matching them on that front
Little to feel encouraged by so far, will take a huge upswing in form to get a win here today

Our games feel more like a waste of an afternoon every year…
There's just no end to the bottom level. You come 8th and that feels a disaster, and now 13th doesn't feel secure.
We normally laugh at those talking relegation battle and we're lucky there's 3 really sh!te teams down there who won't get above us, but heck - don't win today -the next 2 don't exactly look points fests and will we be 15th?

    Got to win this one.

I can see us limping back to the same tactics ten Hag used. What we are doing lately is not working.

    Mainoo has been poor
It’s so poor from our wing backs and front attackers. Also, what is it with Mainoo trying to do little tricks by trying to make passes through the legs of the opposition?

There is just no attacking flair. How are these players that play for Man Utd is beyond me.
Whenever he's nearer to their box he looks much better. As soon as he's deeper he looks poor.

A typical Man Utd spell of possession: Win ball, play it, get to the edge of the box, go backwards, safe passing until Onana, hoof, lose possession. End.

We are one of the worst teams to watch in England.

I know that this is not what Amorim sends them out there to do, because he is open in press conferences about the need to play faster and with more bravery. This squad may just be in the mud.

Oh the sheer sexual joy of listening to Kenny Cunningham and D Delaney holding forth on the weakness of this United side. That back three. Martinez, Magg-huire “struggling” and Yoro. “Don’t know”. “Don’t know”. Jurassic park has to be on somewhere.

Disagree tbh mate, the difference In dynamism and just technically is staggering for me.

The gap in quality between our trios on the left and on the right is huge.

Mazraoui, Ugarte and Amad manage to link and use the ball very well and make good decisions. Dalot, Bruno and Mainoo seem to constantly make the wrong decisions and look much less fluid.

The players that don’t fit this system stick out like a sore thumb.

Today is one of the few days I feel the Hojlund lack of service is actually true but he had a few moments at the end of the half where I feel he could’ve done better.

What good decisions? Maz was the least effective player in the team behind Mainoo. The ball is going left often because every time our CBs look up, no one on the right is providing any width or making any runs.

Our left side was ineffective, our right side is dead. I'd take off Yoro, move Maz to RCB, Amad to RWB, and bring on Garnacho. Also I'd take off Mainoo, drop Bruno back in there, and maybe put Zirkzee on (to probably do nothing, but not many attacking options!)

Never mind the service because you're right but he cannot do the basic role of a CF anyway. Can't hold the ball, can't bring others into play, always loses his duels.

Well most of them are long balls from.our defenders and GK. You expect the CBs to win most of those.

Whenever he's nearer to their box he looks much better. As soon as he's deeper he looks poor.

And this has been apparent with Mainoo since his inception breaking into the first team.

He's been misprofiled under two managers, ETH and Southgate playing him as a double pivot in central midfield.

I hope Amorim doesn't persist with it because it's a poor decision.

Wolves are 3rd from bottom. They don't look that bad.

I don't see where the goals are supposed to come from in this system. With only 3 attacking players in the team, opposition defences are finding it far too easy.
2 defenders as wing backs makes us too predictable, we need at least 1 attacking winger to play wing back. Amad looks better as wing back rather than inside forward so why not put him back there or try Garnocho?
We are simply not putting Wolves defence under any pressure whatsoever. I really can't see any progress here.

So slow in build up with only Amad being able to beat a man one on one

What did 4 at the back bring us?
So funny to hear complaints about systems or formations, as if the other formation isn't what we have been using for the past 3.5 seasons of which all but 1 were absolutely horrific. We've been a mid table attacking side for years, we don't score many, and we concede too much. Amorims system has at least closed down a lot of the chances that we were leaking and our attacking stats haven't reduced while doing it. It's just they were really bad. It's going to take time and quality for them to improve

I want us to play 4-4-2 again, something we have not really done since sir Alex.
