One thing about our players is that they don't play as a unit, there is no coordination in anything they do.

We need better quality No. 10’s, Amad should be WB and two new ones that can run and go past players.

We showed aggression and physicality in that high tempo first 10 minutes, but we’ve gone soft and been bullied and bypassed since then.
We are too easy to play through and having a weak defensive link in CM isn’t helping.

Only maguire mazaroui and ugarte with any praise there after that 1st half.

A very poor showing, we look very slow and in attacking third we are very weak.

    Could easily lose this game

This is incredibly worrying. Performances getting worse and worse.

That Cunha would instantly improve United. And their left back is good too.

We look devoid of ideas. Hojilund upfront looks like an U18 graduate who has got a start because we have our 4 main central forwards injured.

Mainoo was poor gave the ball away to much. Get Casamiro in midfield with Ugarte.
    Forward lines so poor.
Garnacho at least makes things happen.

    Who's going to play it?

Ugarte and Mainoo don't have the range, so it is going to come from Onana, Maguire or Licha.

At Sporting, the centre backs were the players, more often than not, hitting these passes. Maguire has played a few to Dalot, which has got us into some good positions but Yoro and Martinez have been largely safe with their passing.

We've been linked to both no?

Whenever he's nearer to their box he looks much better. As soon as he's deeper he looks poor.
That's not entirely unfair. He seems to favour attacking. Wants to get forward. There may be a role for him as one of the tens.

Amad is doing okay in the role, but his highest attribute is tracking back.

We've been terrible for so long it really feels like our position accurately reflects our quality, rather than us being a top 6 team struggling with form

A back 3 very very easily becomes a back 5 if you're not careful.

There's a reason so few clubs get it to work.

People say it's nothing to do with the formation, but think about how RVN had us playing a few weeks ago and tell me this is in anyway better.

It "might" look better by this time next season "if" we get the right players in, but lose this one, and you start wondering whether we could fall even further than we have already. You don't just get a free year to get things looking good.
This is not better, we need to give Ruben time but for the sake that people like him, they make up all sorts of stuff.

They said Ruud only won because we were playing weak/mid table teams, the same teams we struggle to impress against.

Even our match vs Chelsea looked a lot better than our recent performances.

It's gonna be a long season, just wished Ruben could have started in the summer. It's gonna be so hard to repair the damage being done this season. I hope he will have the energy and enthusiasm for it.

It's been bad so far but I really think this period of time is needed. We need to develop into a modern football team and I'm not sure there's any better way than to just force it through. We're not bad enough to be relegated and I'd happily take a couple years of being mid table while building the side. EtH had the same idea at the start but he chose to go back to the status quo in 4231 counter attacking play.

Nice one Bruno. Our classic excellent start of second half. feck this shit

Bruno is a massive cnut. His fanboys will no doubt defend him. He makes nonsensical challenges.
