    We need to do a lot of work. Dalot is a limited footballer who won't look out of place at say Wolves. Like if we had semedo and they had Dalot, would be no difference. Same with our number 9. We have such a crap squad, not sure where to start and how we can fix
     
    Whole left hand side of the pitch are bringing nothing offensively.

    Dalot, Mainoo, Bruno cack. This system will never work until we find the player for lwb. Dalot has so much of the ball in good positions, but never creates anything.

    Hojlund, as ever, is appallingly bad with his back to goal. Might be the easiest 6ft+ striker to dispossess from behind I have ever seen.
     
    Wolves know that they will get chances on the counter & set pieces to win this game. They are not worried at all in defence because we are so pointless in attack
     
    Well, system or not. This is just such a low level. Mainoo who was diamond last year is becoming parody. I blame national team for that. To early to take him to WC. Hojlund is non existent. Fernandes is hitting balls everywhere that I expect one of them landing through my window. Lot of bad quality overall. Backwards passes all time.
     
    Do you think some of them don't know what to do, slow play run then stop can't get behind . It's bad so far . Wolves haven't been great but you could sense that a decent chance they take it.
     
    I don't understand why Mainoo is so slow. He looks like he should be far quicker than he is.

    We're having real issues where he commits up the pitch, loses it and then can't get back quickly enough.

    The less said about our main attacking outlet being Dalot the better.
     
    Again our physical limitations are showing. Wolves just charge into us and we fold. The few times we do break the press we don't make the forward pass quick enough to be dangerous. And without a single decent crosser out wide this system is basically playing at half potential. This is set up for an individual moment of brilliance to win the game and unfortunately only Cunha looks to be the one who could do it.

    But the manager is playing 2 very defensive players with little quality as wings back. And playing attacking players with zero pace.

    All I've seen this manager do is take a team who struggle to score and take away one attacker and replace them with a defender
     
    Utter Scheidt from start to finish. Kobbie has fallen off a cliff. Style of play is hurting us.
     
    Mainoo looks heavy and leggy. Doesn’t have the quickness of last season. Bruno can’t run with the ball. The middle of the pitch is painfully slow and plodding.
     
    I think this period is my lowest ebb in 10 years. We look so cooked all over the pitch.
     
    Wouldn’t mind seeing Amorim try Hojlund and Zirkee together up top with Bruno in behind them. Move Amad back to RWB.

    The left is full of the wrong profiles, Bruno doesn't have anything to produce an attack, he is a player that links the attack.

    Dalot is for all intents and purposes is a full-back not a wingback.

    Mainoo doesn't have the mental intelligibility to play central midfield, as stated he played as a striker and winger in the youth system, what he's doing in central midfield is beyond me.
     
    There might be a slight improvement in certain stats, but overall it’s still the pinball style with very little control that we are used to.
     
    I'm tired but even if I wasn't this game would make me almost fall asleep. We've got more possession and control but like in previous games doesn't mean much as we could easily concede and are struggling to create.
     
    Looking at the squad as a whole how can the manager judge if training is going well?

    It will be dross playing dross.

    Another overhaul incoming?

    Ruben is finding the PL a whole different proposition to Portugal, yes we need a new left wing back however Yoro and Mainoo both poor in that half, we all know they have huge potential with Amad, Garnaucho and Hojlund, this squad team lacks leaders and actually great football players,!

    Jesus I’m actually pining for ‘ole ball’ with Cavani, Rashford, Pogba, Prime Bruno, Shaw, DDG, Matic, Dan James.

    The suffering will continue all season, that’s how long it will take Amorim to get players in and learn the league, let’s not kid ourselves he’s completely unproven in the EPL.

    We have an identity now but it’s so boring and negative right now, we need elite wing backs, an elite number 9 and at least one number 10. We might have to accept that our target in the EPL is 40 points right now!

    He's gotten absolutely zero service today. The midfield is a wasteland of creativity and others have been selfish when given an opportunity to pass. People love to blame it all on Hojlund because "durrrr he's da strika innit he shud score da goals", but there's nothing a lone striker can do without support. Erling Haaland looked like a pub player earlier today in a struggling Man City team and contributed nothing (less than nothing really counting the missed penalty). Not for the first time recently either, so I guess he's shite too.
     
    We are legitimately getting to the point where the Championship might be the appropriate level of opposition for us.

    I mean Dalot wasn't world beater nor anything, but he was less of our problem. Now I don't know what is he even good at.
