I think park the bus and hope for a 1-0 might be our best bet. Romero should be able to deal with the crosses better than De Gea. Greenwood and James on the counter might work.
Wolfes also loves to counter so we should try to deny them that. If they want a 0-0 we should just take it and hope that we have fresh players for the replay with 1-2 new players in.

We're not doing City over 2 legs so might as well, but Ole already said there will be rotation, so likely out of both cups soon enough. To focus on the League and Europa

We are going to lose though. I don't think I'd be confident of a win with a fully fit squad and we've got no Martial and No midfield.

Having the odd weekend off might help our slim top 4 / Europa chances though. FA cup is definitely not a priority this year. Play the kids.

I dont agree, top 4 is beyond us, EL is a slim chance, Carboo Cup, 50/50 , I think FA is important, needs to put out a good strong team, no point in playing if you dont think you can win !

Rashford probably won't start today, given Ole spoke about Kane and others pulling up with hamstring injuries. He looked knackered against Arsenal. If he does start today, then he should definitely be rested against City on Tuesday. Last thing we want is more injuries. Him and Fred are need a rest!

I assume that Martial and Lingard is out based on the reports yesterday. I also think Rashford will be rested after what Ole said.
He might start Maguire though since he seem to play him in all games even when he is not needed like against Colchester.

I think the defending will be fairly good in this game with Romero in goal. It is the attack that worries me and the lack of service to someone like Greenwood. Of course if we rest both Fred and Matic the midfield could be totally destroyed. Fred seem to be the only one in our side with loads of energy in all games so not sure he needs a rest.

The idea of Matic, Periera, and Mata making up the midfield is a frightening thought.

I was hoping Garner would get a start today and perhaps Gomes, too. Both haven't been anywhere near the first team for some time. They should be chomping at the bit at this point.
