Yeah, I’m not going to watch this.
Fortunately for me, my girlfriend has decided that we will watch Grease tonight so I will miss the game.

I'll just avoid this forum and Twitter till tomorrow so I will be in a good mood all evening.

There was no way Martial and Rashford were going to play. Nor should they. Similar with Dan James I hope. The latter two of the three look properly out of gas.

As expected, squad depth became a problem at this time of year. Shame it's such a tough away game but hey ho...

It's hard to expect anything but a pretty poor performance...but you live in hope like.

He will be given a few a chance to show what they can do. If they don't make some impression, then it might just prove to Ole that maybe they would be better going on loan. Just hoping somebody can show something.

Not surw who he can give a chance to. Garner and Levitt unavailable. Tuanzebe and Forsu still injured. Mason and Williams will play. Not sure if Chong or Gomes will be given an opportunity.

Yeah back then we had 7-8 injuries and still could field a decent 11. Now we have 2 players out and it is a massive crisis.

I mean we ended up playing the likes of McNair due to injuries back then. There's plenty of youth now just as ready as he was.

Do you think the last two are off in the summer?
Yup. Both out of contract and thus far both not resigning. Utd want Gomes to stay but he is unsure due to lack of opportunities. Gomes is going to be a star if you ask me. Chong bit more hit and miss. Looks greatn in the U21's but not ready for the first team. Think Gomes has an offer from Barca on the table

We had so many youngesters playing during LVGs second season in defense when Valencia and Shaw missed almost 70% of the season or more and Jones was out for most of it like normal too. Jackson, Love, Varela, Mensah, Mcnair all played a lot then. CBJ did alright I think and didn't look worse than Darmian and Rojo really.

Basically we had Valencia, Shaw, Darmian, Rojo, Young, Jones out with injuries at the same time at some point. Plus attacking injuries with Martial, Rooney, Wilson, Powell out which gave Rashford the chance. It was probably only Lingard that could avoid injuries that season as it feels like we played him almost all the time.

Then Gomes should have been getting chances, don't big the kids up then ignore them.

4 years ago there was more squad depth but don’t forget it was that twat who sold our goalscorers.

    feck LVG

    Solskjaer confirms United changes today
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to rotate his squad for Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Wolves with the League Cup semi-final against Manchester City coming up on Tuesday.
“Yeah, you have to (rotate). That’s the only logical and sensible solution because players, you’ve got to respect what they’re doing - physically and mentally - what they’re doing,” he told MUTV. “Running round, it’s high intensity. Football’s changed so much since I played. There will be some changes. It has to be.
“You see Brucey (Steve Bruce) for example, he got four hamstring injuries in one game, you see Harry Kane got his hamstring, so we need to look after the players.”

In a way some rotation could be good. Our first team obviously have some kind of mental block playing at this stadium, let’s give some other players a go.

Yet no mentioning that we need to actually improve the squad? Should you also not improve the players fitness this season as you said last summer?

We will see how he rotates. If he just plays the Astana team then he should be sacked tomorrow because he got no clue what he is doing.
Could have rotated in the easy games instead rather than giving up the cup if he does it. Colchester the best example and also against Newcastle.

So he is not allowed to rest players?

    Good thing tbh.

It's gonna be ugly imo. We'll probably lose but I'll watch it anyway.

    Really hope Garner starts today.

Of course, but why did he not rotate in the easier games or take Rashford off more in games?
We have no options for Fred and Rashford now anyway if Martial and Lingard is out.

I guess with our thin squad there is not very much you can do though since we only have 4 attackers for 3 positions really, but at least try to rest your key players when you play teams like Colchester and use guys like Lingard in those games.
I did think Pogba would be back by now and I guess Ole did too.

Hope Greeenwood and Williams can save us a draw at least and that Jones can play well in midfield or where he is playing. Garner will be eaten up alive if he plays I think, but hope he does well if he plays.

    Romero
    AWB--Lindelof--Jones--Williams
    Pereira--Matic
    James--Mata--Young
    Greenwood

Subs: Grant; Dalot, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, Gomes; Chong

Let Mata play deeper to help out the midfield or start Gomes instead

Molineux is spelled wrong in the preview and it's fecking with my Grammar naziness.

I guess Young, Jones, Williams, Romero, Greenwood and Pereira should start. Mata maybe even on a wing. Then it is a guess if Matic or Fred start. Surely he can't rest them both. James should probably play if Rashford is rested which I would guess based on his comments. Then it is 50/50 between Maguire and Lindelöf.

A 0-0 draw might be possible if we defend well with that side. Not seeing the goals from us since Greenwood is not going to get the service.

We have such a poor squad. The club should have supported the manager with a new signing ready to go when the window opened.

As has been said, today could get really ugly.

25% thinks it will be 2-0 to Wolves. They maybe a bit of a bogey team ,but i think we will overcome it today . 1-2

It could work in our favour. We’re going there with a drastically changed team unlike last season when we went with pretty much a full strength side and never showed up.

Just realised I’m going to be driving the kids to their grandparents and will miss most of the game .
