    No chance we will win this game without Lingard. Martial we can do without though ;).

    In reality it is a nightmare that Martial is out. Particular with Rashford looking a bit tired recently. James has also not looked to have lots of energy.
    Our squad is so thin we basically got 0 bench options up front if this is true. Only Mata really if Pereira start and Gomez/Chong who are not particulary good.

    Aye, but I’m just thinking of our last few performances against Wolves, seem to be a bit of a bogey team for us recently and that’s with us having stronger teams out before. Just have to hope Wolves aren’t playing a full strength team and given they’ve played a few games in quick succession hopefully they won’t.
     
    Our squad just isn't ready for 4 competitions. I'm sure we will give it a go but the front lads looked dead on their feet against Arsenal.

    Wolves certainly seem our latest bogey team, so think it'll be another narrow loss unfortunately.

    Can’t stand watching them just bully our players all over the field. Just play backups and kids, let any semi healthy starter get a rest.
     
    Surprise surprise he is talking about playing TFM in midfield rather than buying. I just knew this was coming much like Carrick pushing the Longstaff thing too.
     
    Be interesting to see how many first choice players Wolves will select to start tomorrow. A number of PL clubs after that packed schedule will use the 3rd round of the FA Cup to rest players, Sheffield United manager said he'll make a full 11 changes. I'd expect only half of the United team that started v Arsenal will start tomorrow.

    2012 the last time United beat Wolves away, would have beaten them this season but for that missed penalty.
     
    We really need to give some guys a rest. Particularly Rashford and Fred. But with the squad as it is, who's gonna come in?

    TFM, Greenwood, Garner, Chong( are the last two even fit?) Honestly don’t give a shit who plays if it means the starters are rested

    Don't mind seeing TFM in some of these games when fit but still have to make two midfield signings. Ole needs to stop with the BS about the right players not being available.

    We can't afford to rest them now with these injury news. I say rest everyone against Norwich if needed and focus on the cups.
    We are at best going to get top 4 in the league which I doubt anyway. Would rather us try to win something even if that is harder.

    We can probably forget Europa too without new players in. Although Mctominay should be back for then, but we need 1 attacking midfielder for sure and ideally 1 striker and one defensive midfielder.

    I think against City next week we need to bloody survive that game and hope we can have improved things in time for the second game. Park the bus big time or whatever.
    Romero can hopefully play much better than De gea and save us too.

    Yeah you are spot on about the Europa and I swear to god if I hear Ole talk about the right player at the right price BS again in a press conference I will lose it big time.
     
    Lingard and Martial are pricks, obviously engineering a move of some kind, they played a game just a couple days ago and now they are "ill" - how does that happen.

    And in all seriousness, screw the FA Cup this season. As thin as our squad is right now, the team on Sunday needs to be complete 2nd / 3rd team. Fred, Rashford, Maguire all need to not even be even on the bench.

    LVG fluked a win in it so we should try to go for it even if we have the League cup as well. Need to bloody go for winning things. Given up the cups to stay in the league is what the bottom teams do and I guess we are moving into that direction.
     
    I'd play our youth and 2nd team to save us the embaresment because we will still get piped with the current first team
     
    First time this season predicting a loss but I just don't see any other result. We are down to the bare bones and Ole surely sees the game on Tuesday as more likely to lead to silverware as we are already through to the semis. Fully expect a couple of players to be rested and when you add in the injured and the fact that Tony is now sick I just don't think we will carry enough of a threat.

    Hopefully Ole is realistic about this. We are not winning the FA Cup this year and we should prioritize the league and rest starters. It is what it is: we are not a great team and we're threadbare, so it's an opportunity for fringe players. I hope Wolves are happy with a 2 or 3 goal win and don't decide to punish us.

    People said the same thing about LVG when we had half the squad out with injuries. I am glad he didn't listen to that.
