Even if he plays some of the seniors you can't say he doesn't believe in youth. I think the point is that Van Gaal is willing to give the jews academy their chance.

I dont believe in separating the jews from the gentiles in the academy, or anywhere for that matter.

    It'll be interesting.
Many fans are saying that LVG is a genius for using youth.
Many are saying that he is only using youth players because the first teamers are out.
Today we shall find out, if the first teamers go straight back in or if he genuinely believes in youth.
Regardless of luck or not on LvG's part, those kids deserve all the credit they are getting for the last few weeks. They have potentially turned out season around. Fingers crossed!

    BOSS MAKES FOUR CHANGES
Van Gaal has made four changes from the midweek win over Watford as Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Michael Carrick and Jesse Lingard all come in for Guillermo Varela, Tim Fosu-Mensah, Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay.

Harsh on Varela. And Memphis/Schneiderlin too.

4 wins in a row you'd think he'd keep some of the best performers in that time on.

We need invention. If smalling,Rojo and Carrick are playing I think we will be fine. Also Darmian only hold on to his marker in the box.
we also need to manage our players. Varela him self said he was feeling it in the last couple games. need to use the squad.

Good team. Harsh on Varela but it'll give Darmian a kick up the ass. Hope Rashford can keep his form up.

No memphis? Strange. Though i guess you cant put martial, rashford and him in the same side unless rashford is wide right. Not a fan of no schneiderlin either. But good to have a full defence again. Hopefully we grind out a win.

Varela said he was tired. I'm hoping that also explains why Schneiderlin isn't starting

Harsh on Schneiderlin and Varela. I expected Varela might drop to the bench. This'll be a tougher game than Watford, and they'll probably go direct. We'll lose a bit of attacking impetus on the right, but Darmian's a better defender.

    Fellaini straight on the bench.
    Pereira bumped off.

Rondon is going to bully our backline today.. Smalling better be up for it...
Also feel sorry for Memphis and his new boots.

Surprised that he dropped a few players, but I guess they needed resting.

bit of rotation...sensible given the options and the amount we have played recently (and games to come). Still don't really have confidence in the teams ability to produce a good performance though.

    WEST BROM'S STARTING XI
West Brom: Foster; Olsson, Chester, Yacob, Gardner, Berahino, McAuley, Fletcher, Dawson, Sessegnon, Rondon. Subs: Myhill, Anichebe, McClean, Pocognoli, Lambert, Pritchard, Sandro.

I don't see what Varela, Schneiderlin and Memphis, did to be replaced for this match.
They've been quite good the last couple matches.
As me and a friend used to say back in the days when we played championship manager: "Never win a changing team!"

No excuses now with that back 6 + De Gea - all very experienced, most of them first choice, so should be capable of producing a solid defensive display at the very least.

Glad Smalling is back. Real shame he has dropped Memphis as he was doing well and he is definitely a player that needs to play and get confidence to perform at his best.

Varela has been good too, though I guess we need to work Darmian back into things. Schneiderlin I assume needs the rest.

Only explanation is resting a few with Liverpool, West Ham and Liverpool again to come up next. We'll need our strongest team available to get through them 3 games.

Disappointing to see Memphis, Varela and Schneiderlin dropped, hopefully its just a case of squad rotation and giving s few of the lads a rest.

Even if he plays some of the seniors you can't say he doesn't believe in youth. I think the point is that Van Gaal is willing to give the jews academy their chance.

My opinion is that he is NOT a guy who believes in youth. He only plays youth when there is no other option, but to do so.
    Its the last resort.
For example, he would never have played Rashford instead of Rooney, when Rooney was not scoring any goals.
Or used CBJ, as soon as Shaw got injured. What actually happened was that Blind was shifted to LB because he did not trust any youth player to fill the LB position.
