    VARELA,SMALLING TFM CBJ
    CARRICK HERRERA
    LINGARD ADNAN MEMPHIS
    MARITAL
We need to have an eye against Liverpool ,so rest Blind,Rojo,Schneiderlin, Mata and Rashford.

Has Blind played every single match for us this season? He deserves a rest/drop after yesterday.

    de Gea
    Varela Smalling Fosu-Mensah Rojo
    Schneiderlin Hererra
    Lingard Mata Memphis
    Martial

Rashford, Carrick, and Januzaj off the bench.

Is it too much to ask for Januzaj to start?
Considering he hasn't even been doing anything special at u21 level I'd rather he didn't until he earns his place.

Hopefully this should be our starting line up

    ----------------Martial------------
    Memphis--------------------Lingard
    -----------------Mata-----------------
    -----Schneiderlin---Herrera-------
    Mensah---Blind----Smalling----Varela

Rashford coming as sub and Pereira get some playing time as well.

Not looking forward to this for some reason. After four wins in a row I can't see us adding a fifth.

If Carrick is available he should start. We need experience on the pitch for this one.

I expect a similar game to the Watford one, but with Smalling and Carrick back (if they are, hoping it's confirmed today) I'd feel confident of coming out on top (just about)! I'd like us to play the same line-up where possible, with Smalling coming back in:

    de Gea
    Varela Smalling Blind Rojo
    Herrera Schneiderlin
    Rashford Mata Memphis
    Martial
    ---
Romero; Darmian, Fosu-Mensah; Carrick, Pereira, Lingard; Januzaj

Going for a 1-2 win, then we're set up to have a good crack at the remainder of the season. I still think the most likely outcome is for us to finish 5th and win nothing, but with some more players back fit we can put ourselves in with a chance if we win this game.

Struggling to see a victory here. Difficult to see us winning any away game in the PL.

    --------------de Gea
    Varela Carrick/Smalling Blind Rojo
    ---Herrera/Carrick Schneiderlin
    ------Rashford Mata Memphis
    --------------Martial

You never know, they'll take a lot out of the Watford game, where Blind was awful, winning when not playing as well as the Arsenal game. There's one thing that's certain- WBA are bloody awful in defence

Expecting this to be very difficult. Pulis has got them playing his type of football and they seem to be getting results. I've been fooled so many times this season that I'm not too confident seeing us continuing the winning run. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

I'm actually more confident about this game than our home game against Watford. WBA like Watford do not score many and also concede a fair few chances at the back. They are not a particularly fast team either so I do feel we will do better but saying that it could be a match where we put in a good showing and still lose or draw. I imagine Fletcher will have the game of his life.

I've managed to get a ticket in the United end for this so if anyone wants a pre match drink let us know

We've got a pretty dire record at The Hawthorns lately, plus they've been playing well in their recent few games. It won't be easy.

Definately need Smalling back. As a regular watcher of McCauley for NI he's an absolute beast at attacking corners

Shite, that's definite penalty for WBA there, what with Smalling's shirt tugging and man handling.

We need someone big to handle Rondon. He can be a right handful. I really don't trust Blind right now after his shocker last game. Craig Gardner can feck off with them free kicks too! We need to send these fools further down the table with their anti football.

Sure Darmian can man handle and shirt pull Rondon for 90mins..

    TRIO CLOSER TO COMEBACK
Louis van Gaal told MUTV that Marouane Fellaini, Phil Jones and Antonio Valencia are coming back but he would prefer not to risk selecting any of the trio without them firstly playing in the reserves.

Sky reporting this as trio fit to play against WBA which is not what he has said.

    RETURNING PLAYERS NEED RHYTHM
The manager explained in his MUTV interview: "They are coming back, but normally they cannot play a match because the rhythm of the game is much higher. So, we have to train more and let them play in the second team. Maybe because I’m forced because of the circumstances to take a risk, like I have done with Marcos Rojo, but when I’m not forced to then I shall not do that."

    SCHWEINSTEIGER UPDATE
When asked about Bastian Schweinsteiger during the press conference, the manager replied: "He is also coming back in March. Valencia is coming back and training with the first team, as is Fellaini. Jones shall train with the first team next week and Schweinsteiger may do this also. They are coming back, but they then have to be fit to play."

Is there an actual presser today or just a MUTV interview?
    There was a press conference.
    UNITED'S PRIORITIES
The manager also reiterated at his press conference: "It is still our aim [to finish in the top four]. Our aim is also to win a trophy - that would be fantastic for Manchester United and the fans. Of course, Manchester United has not won the Europa League but also the [last] FA Cup is many years ago so that would be fantastic also."

No, they are ok where they are!

    TRIO CLOSER TO COMEBACK
Louis van Gaal told MUTV that Marouane Fellaini, Phil Jones and Antonio Valencia are coming back ...

Phil "Red Zone" Jones is coming back?

I'm afraid Jones just isn't built to play football and I think he will eventually go the way of Hargreaves where we allowed his contract to expire and the next team to take him on will probably take him on, on a pay as you play contract.

Hopefully no mention of Smalling means he's back, full stop.

We're already going to be under pressure at set pieces, so without him it'll be super tough.

Although Darmian, Carrick, Rojo and Blind can hold their own. But it'll be a tough allocation of who picks who up.

Ah, I didn't see the usual thread for it, cheers for the updates. :)

I think the team will be:

    De Gea
    Varela--Smalling--Rojo--Darmian
    Carrick--Schneiderlin
    Lingard/Rashford--Mata--Memphis
    Martial

If Smalling is back I can see Blind getting rested here. Or he could start and Varela get rested, one of the two.

Of course it wont be easy, we struggle against much worse teams than WBA but its just my feeling about this game, as a footballing side they are pretty slow and gash. As for their last 6 results they have only scored 7 goals and I think if we do not waste a half with Martial being totally wasted on the right we should win this one.

We've won 9 and drawn twice in our last 11 games there.

West Bromwich have won 3 of their last 13 games·
