Pogba has been really good. He's had no influence going forward because Soton's midfield is buzzing all around him and he's got no time. Soton's shape, energy and ability to stretch United's defense behind and wide is quite impressive.

There is a hole in the middle of the park behind Pogba and Hererra because Bertrand and Redmond are causing havoc with their movement.

The right side of Mata and Valencia have been extremely poor.

Wrong tactics, without Mkhi mata cannot play wide. He should change mata to 10 and lingardto right or even rashford.
I think we need Carrick and also our players look tired and they look like they have prepared very well for last 2 weeks.

They're finding it way too easy going through our midfield, we need an extra body in there. The fullbacks need better support from the wide men as well.

Both Pogba and Herrera are getting too forward and on the counter their no.10 is getting behind too many times. Mata is coming back to help Valencia but no support for Rojo from Martial

Looking a bit tired unfortunately. Soton look exactLy like a team that has had 2 weeks off.

Extra central midfielder is required because pogba is just not very good with his defensive positioning. He plays like he is in a midfield 3 but when in fact he needs to close the gap between the lines. Too easy for their runners to find space. Getting Carrick in will help.

Rojo is just terrible at left back. It should be blind or darmian if Jose still insists on freezing out shaw. However, how much worse could shaw be to this lot? Even with injury and all.

Defensively, Mata has spent a lot of time defending. I agree on Martial though. A combination of him not helping enough and Rojo being terrible at LB has made that left side a big weakness. No surprise that is how they scored.

Still we are 2-1 up. We really need to channel our LvG a bit and start controlling the game. No need to rush and attack but we need to keep the ball better.

I agree, just keep the ball and keep the shape of the team intact.

Very very lucky to be ahead.Its obvious that Saints have had two weeks to prepare for this and we haven't .
Over back 4 especially Rojo look nervy and unsure, our midfield is being outplayed.
Martial is so predictable, every time he comes in on his right.Rashers would get to the byline more.
Mata is out of the game.
Saints crossing has been very good.
Jose to earn his corn at HT.
