Why so much anger? We've been awful and still leading. I'm sure we'll be better second half and win this.
Some yellow card challenges are worse than others.Issues are obvious. They are getting so much space in front of our defence and down our left. Carrick and blind.Not a game for Mata. Rashford on for work rate.
It was at the perfect time for them. Can't shake off this sinking feeling lol They deserved to score really. Oh well lets see what this second half brings...Carrick has to come on. Get awful Smalling off for Blind and move Rojo to CB. Give Martial first 15 of second then either bring on Rashford to run at tired defense or Fellaini to try to hold on if we get a third. All in all a rubbish first half by us, we must improve as I'm sure our legs will tire before theirs should it go to extra time.I was thinking we just neded to get to half-time without conceding.
That's taken the shine off things a bit, and I am a bit worried now.
It's been the other way around all season
The thing about surrounding the ref really underlined this!Southampton will quickly score a second if Rojo is still on the field in the 2nd half.

The fact Southampton scored hopefully gives a clear and loud message we need to get our act together. Not one player above a 5 at the moment. Our front four have all been anonymous. You can't attack if you are not getting the ball. We have no control whatsoever.
Defensively, Mata has spent a lot of time defending. I agree on Martial though. A combination of him not helping enough and Rojo being terrible at LB has made that left side a big weakness. No surprise that is how they scored.
Still we are 2-1 up. We really need to channel our LvG a bit and start controlling the game. No need to rush and attack but we need to keep the ball better.We definitely need Carrick in there.
On the ball Pogba has been our best player..Can we afford to take Mata off?

ThisDefenders need huge half time talk, they weren't up to it. Supprisely leading but wee have to play a totally different sec half.A good run of form doesn't make Rojo a good player. He's been awful. Whatever it is Shaw's been doing in training, I refuse to believe he's our 4th best left back.

Was it at left back that Young has had experience in? Thought it was at the right for some reason.United needs Carrick to calm the midfield. Herera has gone missing and they are spraying the ball to the wings and causing United problems. Maybe United should switch to 3-5-1-1.

Seeing as this is a one off cup final, the emphasis should rightly be on "leading" rather than "lucky"

Yes. He's doing nothing with the ball so might as well put someone on there who can track back when Redmond takes Valencia in field.Very bad performance. Southampton have played with lot more energy and desire. Things have to change in 2nd half.
