    Kinda like saying we hope Brandon Williams transforms into Phil Neville.

    Why not back Romero till the end. He's been pretty faultless.
     
    Matic dithers on the ball way more than Fred so interesting to see his inclusion questioned whilst playing against a team with a high press.

    I'm not confident at all Pip. They're a really handy side in good form. That being said, I fancy Rashford up against Jesus Navas and Martial is in handy form.
     
    I can understand the Fred starting with Matic coming on as a substitute to impact the game. With Matic starting, we have no way to change and impact the game from the Bench.

    But De Gea for Romero? I fell a bit for Romero there, he hasn't done any wrong whenever he plays. In case this goes to Penalty kickout, I even trust Romero more than De Gea.
     
    That bench is quite poor. We really need to buy some squad players or we will struggle next season.

    Even if we go behind I still think we can come back and win. They play exactly how we like teams to play, we will soak up the pressure and destroy them on the break with Rashford, Martial and Greenwoods pace.
     
    Picking De Gea over Romero made zero sense. Such a ridiculous decision. I really hope it doesn't cost us like it did against Chelsea.

    Ighalo has scored a few goals in the EL should he have started instead of Martial ?
     
    I am surprised that more of the talk is about Romero and De Gea. I think the bigger surprise is Fred starting over Matic.

    He'd at least be a holding midfielder, which Fred isn't.

    Oh come on. De Gea has been shite for a good 18 months now. Romero has been much better when he's played. You don't get to say he's the better player because he used to be better
     
    Feeling like Rashford will have a great game today and score a goal.
    We are due a performance from him at least.
     
    Brave call form Ole with his formation. What worries me most is their pressing when we try and play out from the back. Fred and Pogba need to keep it simple in dangerous areas and Williams will need protection. If we show any of the fatigue we've shown for the last month we'll lose but if we play with energy then we have every chance of getting to the final. Can't see this being a boring game at all.
     
    This is the exact kind of game we lose. A game where we’re playing a top team but we’re not
    the underdogs in fact we’re favourites purely because of our name. I’d be more confident if we were playing Real Madrid. 2-0 Seville. Caf meltdown.

    You have to take into account the teams we have been playing. I haven´t seen him making many spectacular saves, and most of those clean sheets were nothing more than to expect based on the lack of chances created by the opposite sites. Romero is s decent goalkeeper, but those stats can hardly be used as proof of it.

    Could Romero be leaving this year? Henderson to become back up with Romero getting a chance to be #1 elsewhere (hopefully not in the PL)
     
    Made the stupid decision to order a burger few minutes, and just started watching the build up and now my stomach is in knots and the thought of eating it when it comes in a few minutes is nauseating!! :nervous:
