He’s one of their best players. You stop him then who in that midfield of theirs is going to feed the attacking players with killer passes in behind our slow defence when they have possession of the ball.
It’s the only reason why I think Fred has been included in starting eleven. Don’t give Banega any time on the ball to dictate the play and handle the press. Otherwise Matic would have been the preferred choice.

Yeah same here, and bringing on Matic around the 70th minute to control the game, hopefully with a lead in hand will help more than if it was the other way around.Really excited about this game. De Gea makes saves he can't get near and Romero would be forgiven as he couldn't have got near it while if De Gea pulled off three of those and made one error he'd be pilloried.Good move by Ole to bring De Gea back in the team, he has to perform with Henderson rumours coming back so it'd be interesting to see how he responds today.I had Romero and Matic starting instead of DDG and Fred. As has been said, a bit harsh on Romero but ok with Fred starting. Matic will no doubt come on in the second half.
