With the news now all but confirmed that Ole is the permanent manager in charge, I’m hoping this news will give the players an extra massive spring in their step and really dismantle Watford. I’m hoping Lindelof was available but wasn’t mentioned being at the hotel, so looks like the club have given him extra time off to be with his partner and their little one :).

    Starting XI

    De Gea

    Young
    Smalling
    Rojo
    Shaw

    Fred
    Herrera
    Pogba

    Rashford
    Lukaku
    Martial

    subs:
    Romero
    Dalot
    Jones
    Matic
    A.Pereira
    Mata
    Lingard

    Score Prediction:
    Manchester United 4-0 Watford

    Goalscorers:
    Martial x2, Lukaku & Rashford
    Rojo? God I hope not

    Manchester United team
Starting XI: De Gea, Young (c), Jones, Smalling, Shaw, Herrera, Matic, Pogba, Mata, Rashford, Martial
Subs: Romero, Dalot, Rojo, Andreas, Fred, Lingard, Lukaku

    Watford team
Starting XI: Foster, Janmaat, Kabasele, Britos, Masina, Hughes, Doucoure, Capoue, Pereyra, Deeney, Deulofeu
Subs: Gomes, Cathcart, Femenia, Holebas, Quina, Success, Gray

Four changes from the defeat to Wolves with De Gea, Young, Jones and Mata coming in for Romero, Dalot, Lindelof and Lingard.

There won't be any in-game live updates today so hope you all enjoy today's match.
Serious question, when was the last time Jones started a match? I’m trying to remember.

Slightly worried seeing Jones and Mata start but hoping for the best.

Watford won't be easy to beat if they are going to park the buss from the beginning. They did very well against City until they conceded the offside goal, and Deeney & Delofeu can be dangerous up front. Hope we can score early.

This international break really was perfectly timed for us, especially with everyone pretty much pulling out. Hope everyone is fully recovered.

Good lineup though. Hope Martial gets back into form, he started off well under Ole til his first injury and that's been the biggest problem for him IMO.

Chuckle brothers in action. This will be a tough game. Looking forward to what the boys can do.

Also seems Rashford will be Ole's golden boy really. Lukaku should be the one starting if we look at their recent performance but he still chose Rash over Rom.

And rightly so. I can't blame Ole for that as Rashford is the future of our attack and our team where Lukaku has his limitations and probably won't start at any top club.

David de Gea; Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw; Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba; Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial

Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Diogo Dalot, Marcos Rojo, Andreas Pereira, Fred, Jesse Lingard, Romelu Lukaku

Not rightly at all. The player in form should play. Rash has been dogshite for a long time now while Lukaku was in form. Lukaku should be playing now if you want to tell the players that starting is a reward for working hard and performing well.

Calamity Jones and Mata starting are surprises and not good ones, I hope we are using the diamond and not Mata on the right of an unbalanced front 3. I also had Lukaku down over Martial, figured this is the kind of team he'd bag against.

Lukaku might not be fully fit to play 60-90 minutes

Will miss Lindelof's passing and Lingard's pace. Young has been poor in recent games at RB. So expect a slow plodding game with all our attack coming from the left.

Of course, hoping to be surprised and see us come flying off the blocks.

    14:15
    Solskjaer on his team selection
    Here’s what Solskjaer told MUTV:

It’s a good team that we put out A couple we are still nurturing, Jesse and Rom they aren’t ready to start.

Victor is injured he has had some issues.

It's the first I'm hearing of Lindelof's injury, did it happen today?

Jones vs Deeney will make for a good battle though.

Not the best line up today, and certainly highlights our need to spend in certain areas.

I hope to God this is the final season we have to see the likes of Smalling, Jones, Mata and Young start games for us. Sick of the sight tbh.

Nobody seems to know when Lindelof's injury happened, seeing he was not mentioned as injured, yet now he is. Maybe he tripped over a baby rattle or something.
