Lindelof doing the same as Martial I guess when he was away with his wife. Wasnt there lots of controversy about that?
Controversy only because Mourinho caused a stir about Martial wanting to be there for his childs birth while missing a bit of pre-season... Ridiculous

    Jones hasn't played in a while:nervous:

    Where is Victor.....>?

Mrs Lindelof is at Old Trafford
There’s a lot of discussion about Lindelof and whether or not he will be available.

He wasn’t spotted with the team last night but his wife Maja has just posted on her Instagram page that she is at Old Trafford with their newborn baby.

Where's lindelof? If baby and mum are in the ground he should be in the squad no?

Show Lindelöf some respect. What has he done to deserve all the hate he is getting now? He has been nothing but professional during his United career, and stuck it through in periods were it didn't go so well for him. Apparently - according to Maja Lindelöf's blog, his wife - they recently went through the following:

"The day before the national team selection we went home from the hospital and had been told that the baby did not grow as he was supposed to and that the head was the only organ that still growing, that all the energy from my uterus went only to his brain. In shock we sat on the couch at home and called our families and told them. I remember sitting on the couch, stroking my stomach and crying every minute since my whole reality had changed. My normal and healthy pregnancy was suddenly something else, my son who has grown like he should had suddenly stopped growing and his weight increased too little for his age. I had 12 hours to process all the feelings about a early/forced (medical) birth, possible caesarean, an early birth and a baby that did not do well before the media created a hate storm against us."

I, as a father who experienced the birth of my first son only six months ago, completely respect and understand if Lindelöf's head is with his family rather than football right now - especially if you take the backstory into account.

Missing from our squad to be with wife

Girlfriend not wife, Martial went back to Paris and around the same time allegedly shagged another woman, after he left the tour.

I'd imaging Ole has given Lindelof permission to miss the game as well. So not a like for like comparison. Victor withdrew from the Sweden squad as well over some 'issues', so I'd guess they're not resolved as yet.

    Who's hating him?

Then I can understand, but I haven't really criticised him, was just a bit surprised.

Lindelof should be fined. End of this point for me. Now for the game!

But if Bailly is sold, we'll lose 2 centre-backs during the summer? How would Lindelof, Smalling, Jones and Tuanzebe be good enough for United going into next season? Especially with Jones as unreliable as he is in terms of injuries. Again not attacking you, just wondering. Maybe for another thread.

If Bailly is sold we'll bring in another CB, I am saying I wouldfn't sell Bailly to replace him with the names being listed, obviously I'd sell him if we could get de Ligt, Koulibaly or Varane, but if not I'd hang on to him over the likes of Manolas, Alderweireld, Milenkovic and Andersson.

Lindelof has permission for a certain number of days off. Just like Martial did.

Martial only got in trouble when he came back late.

What's the reception like for Ole? Can't see at the moment.

He should be fined if his girlfriend and his baby are attending and he's not around, so no excuse really.

Otherwise, people are taking this discussion and point too far.

    Fine him and move on.
