  You said that the German website had him as a midfielder. I pointed out that the category he is in is the one where they've listed midfielders AND attackers, and that Sané and Werner, who are obviously forwards, are also in that category. It is actually a very fine argument that I made.

  That's why it's baffling. Because when he does play at his peak, he's better than any midfielder I've seen - ball control, vision, passing, strength. It's easy to get carried away.
  
  I'm starting to think though that it's better to have someone playing an 8/10 game consistently for 30+ of the 38 games in the season, than someone who produces 9/10 performances for 10-15 games and average or below average for the rest.
  
  On reflection, this is what made Fergie's midfield so effective even at a time when Scholes was past his prime and we didn't have the liked of Becks and Keano anymore

  it says ATTACKING MIDFIELDER... which makes him a midfielder in my mind but whatever
