Draw.
Fair argument.Jose will only be sacked when it is mathematically impossible to get top 4 OR if we are so bad (ie. near relegation zone).
This is what we saw with both LVG and Moyes. The reason: money. It's cheaper to sack the manager for not getting top 4, than to sack him when he still has a chance of getting top 4. I heard on a youtube channel (not 100% sure if this is correct), that our managers have a clause in their contract stating that if they fail to get CL football for the next season, their severance package is reduced.
With the case of Woodward, you just need to think from a money angle. If an action will reduce the profits of the club, Woodward won't do it. if the action can increase the profits, Woodward will do it.
Woodward is not a football man - he is a business man and throughout his career, his performance has been measured on financials....not footballing style or entertainment. Of course, some may argue that if we are boring to watch, it will effect our financials. Woodward will say that we haven't won the league title for years, yet we are the most profitable club in the EPL and in fairness, who can argue against that?
By being realistic. We don't have the squad for it, how exactly are we expected to make up that gap on City? Liverpool also spent big this summer, it will be hard to compete.
Of course everybody wants to win the title, but our expectation for the season is top four, so with that being the case I'm not going to be annoyed if we draw at Old Trafford.
If we lose or draw I want Mourinho gone in the morning. We have Burnley away followed by an inform Watford away. We can absolutely not drop any points at home this season because every single away game is going to be incredibly tough this season.
And then what?
My guess is something like this but Young instead of Valencia (though could just as easily be Young for Shaw) and Lingard instead of Martial.would like to see if fit
De Gea, Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Shaw, Matic, Fred, Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku, Martial
Doubt it though. Anyway 2-2.
Nope. For most home games the players go to the Lowry. Either Mourinho let the players stay at home and they're meeting up at Old Trafford or they'll be going to the Lowry later today.Does the MEN spotted squad list only come out for away games?
I could really do with it to help my prediction. Matic, Valencia, Sanchez, Shaw, all being maybes is making it tough to call.Nope. For most home games the players go to the Lowry. Either Mourinho let the players stay at home and they're meeting up at Old Trafford or they'll be going to the Lowry later today.
Probably only for the first half hour.Must win tonight with City and Liverpool setting the pace. What I want to see more than anything is a Utd team set up to score goals and play attacking football.
The squad from the M.E.N.
Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Lee Grant
Defenders: Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones, Ashley Young, Luke Shaw
Midfielders: Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, Fred, Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini
Forwards: Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez
He was injured the first game and was on the bench for Brighton. So yes he hasn't had any minutes.Herrera hasn't even featured so far this season.
No Martial?
