If Bailly and Jones are fit then I think they both have to play. If that means a back 3 with Bailly Jones and Smalling thats fine.

Id also like to see both Mata and Mkhi sit and play Lingard Rashford and Martial behind Lukaku

Young and Valencia will most likely play too

    De Gea
    Bailly - Smalling - Jones
    Valencia - Matic - Herrera - Blind/Shaw/Young
    Rashford - Lingard - Martial/Young
    Lukaku

We cant field 12 players sadly.

Sorry, have I got it wrong. I thought he was referreing to Tunzabe? Didn't follow the full exchange, so apologies if I got it wrong on this particular post. However my point still stands. On both the match day thread, and post match, members were effusive in their praise, and saying Tunzabe should start ahead of others. Makes no sense.
Agreed on that mate, Spurs is definetely not a good game for him to make his full league debut.

Feeling a little more positive about this game following this weeks result.

Important we keep Kane quiet of course, and also we have support for Rom up front so he doesnt get exposed. I'd happily see us defend for 89 mins, and get a scabby goal to win 1-0.

3 points is the main thing.

Any tottenham fans reading this, what is the expected line up?

    Lloris
    Aurier Toby Sanchez Jan Davies
    Dier Winks
    Eriksen Kane Son/Alli

I reckon. Maybe Dier our and both Son and Alli start.
Why is davies being benched in the last couple of games? My FPL team is getting hit past the two weeks due to this..

Why? It's our home. 3 points is a must. A draw here will only make the Chelsea even more ominous.

We'll park the bus at Chelsea, too. I don't think our chances of scoring in either game are particularly high, so a couple of 0-0 games would not be especially surprising.

Are Rashford and Herrera fit? Read something about them picking up knocks in the cup game.

3 points is a must here. I doubt we will win at the Bridge, we need to go for this.

    ESPN say they're both doubtful

If both these games are 0-0 I'll eat my hat.

The result last night (West Ham beating the Spurs) may not work in our favour, as that if anything may have given them a little reminder of the need to re-focus.

I can't call this one, and on form, I'll take a point (disappointingly). Tottenham are a v v v decent side. Confident too and they will think they can win and make a bit of a statement.

However, Mourinho rarely gets these games wrong. So, it may be ugly, tense, but boring. But we can't get turned over...

    Is Dier playing for Spurs?

Is this the first game since Dier said to Herrera to watch out or something lol?
Played as centerback against Real Madrid, but not Liverpool (just Eriksen's sub) and started again yesterday, so he could be dropped for Winks.

Any tottenham fans reading this, what is the expected line up?
Not a fan, but I'm expecting this 3-5-2 attacking lineup:
    Lloris
    Alderweireld–Sánchez–Vertonghen
    Aurier–Eriksen–Winks–Alli–Davies
    Kane–Son

Not sure why people are going on about drawing this game.

We're at home, against a rival, and we need to win. A draw will not be a good result.

But Pogba wasn't seen training today, so, doesn't seem he'll feature on Saturday.

Think we could go with the old '5-4-1 (or whatever you wanna call it) counter attack' style:

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Jones Blind Young
    Lingard Herrera Matic Rashford
    Lukaku

That's just the expected 3-4-3 with misplaced wrong players.

We absolutely need three points here - if we don't we could be 7-8 points off the top already and Mourinho will have serious questions to face.

Only for those certain we had a chance at the title this season already. For others less optimistic, we are a top two/three team still.

I’m pretty intrigued to see the boy Harry Winks is it. Seen bits of him before but Real, Pool and now United. Looks like a good player think it was last year Poch said he was his Iniesta and from what I’ve seen we could do win that winks in a midfield 3. He’s looked really assured on the ball.
Hopefully now saying this he will have an absolutely rubbish game and be responsible for 2 of our goals

I’m not getting up at 6am for what will inevitably be another demonstration in shitehouse negative football from Mourinho.

    0-0, 1-0, or 0-1.

Yes, this is the lad the TV commentator suggested Spurs marketing team had missed out on not insisting he be given the squad number of 40, to go on the back of his shirt with his name ;)
Whenever I've seen him he looks to have what it takes, but he's still at that stage when the odd 'howler' is made, lets hope there is a few on Saturday!

“40 winks” is genius. Maybe when Poch comes he can take him with him

Mou's first stint at Chelsea was dominated by a 4-3-3 formation. I feel as he has matured he has become more and more defensive.

As for Spurs I feel their midfield is light weight if missing Wanyama/Dier/Dembele. RM dominated that area of the pitch against them. I feel Spurs will set up defensively, the same as the RM game, and cede the majority of midfield possession to us.

Would absolutely love to see two up front in this one like we did at swansea. Keep that back four occupied and give Lukaku some support.

Mind games from Spurs me thinks.

Maybe, but he was definitely holding his hamstring when he came off in the last league game.
People talked about cramp, but didn't look like that to me.
