    If that's where it comes from, fine. Still seems strange for a Man United fan to feel that level of rivalry at them to an almost same level as our bitter rivalries. But I guess there's some that are also involved in that rivalry as well for religious reasons.

    Actually, with this ostensibly being a Man United fan site, I often forget the Irish / catholic bias it has as well. So I guess the post makes sense, and will be well received, from that perspective.

    I remember as a kid having a United/Celtic Half and Half ski hat thing. Not sure why, I was about 7.

    Typically it was United/Celtic, Rangers/Liverpool was it not?

    I imagine a lot of Liverpool fans would prefer Celtic as well. Huge Irish influence there too.

    Personally I'd like to see Amad swap sides with Dalot. It'd suit Dalot a lot more and I don't think it inconveniences Amad as much.

    I’d like us to really go for it. Play amad and garnacho as WBs, zirkzee and Bruno behind Hojlund
     
    I know it’s not perfect but maybe try Bruno next to Ugarte.

    Hojlund over Zirkzee as it’s the Europa League and Rasmus usually does better in this competition.

    We shall have to wait and see, my friend.
    If we win the tourney, I'll remember this conversation and if we get knocked out, I hope you too, remember this conversation.

    Regarding transfer/signings.
    We almost certainly will bring in some people, but these more than likely will be squad players. I don't really expect them to make much difference to the quality of the squad, but we shall wait and see.
    It does seem like I'm all doom and gloom, but when you look at the league table, it says a lot about us. We are firmly rooted in 13-4th place and we've been unable to move up the table. Unfortunately, that's our level and I don't believe that a team which is in the bottom half of the table (not far from the relegation zone) can win a trophy that is historically difficult to win.

    I think in the Summer, we will bring in players and the start of next season is when I forsee us making progress.

    The other issue is that I think INEOS aren't particularly good at what they do (in relation to MUFC)....but that's a whole other discussion.

    Think Bruno in a CM role is the easiest and quickest fix to attacking/scoring issues for now. We sacrifice carrying with Mainoo but in turn get far better progressive passing and creativity from deeper while allowing room for another runner in that left 10 role.

    Aren't you overrating all Championship teams? I refuse to believe any EL team would be that "bad".

    Rangers fans are quite insufferable. Slightly less so than Celtic in my experience.
     
    Curious as to how many minutes Garnacho gets. If he really is being sold, you'd think keeping him wrapped in bubble wrap and away from the cloggers from the north would be a good idea. He plays, he stays.
     
    Clement is a bit nuts about his wide players. Subs wingers if they stray too far from the touchline early and doesn't usually fancy his fullbacks getting up the pitch. Unfortunately that kind of approach tends to work stretching back threes and/or pinning wingbacks. Cerny on their right gave Spurs a lot of grief, pretty much keeping Udogie in his own half all game and getting plenty of shots off. The lot of them pretty much shoot from anywhere though.

    Could be a fun game. They've apparently not won away in England since Kris Kross so if they score a screamer or two early we'll all just have to start jumping about a bit. Should unsettle them.
     
    Rangers fans well up for this one. Saw a bunch of them at the service station on my way back home, screaming and shouting outside the coach with cans in hand.
