I think Collyer + Eriksen will be fine. Runner + Playmaker has worked fine historically. (Jorginho + Kovacic at Chelsea for example in a 5 ATB system)

I had a feeling that we'd see some rotation here. Didn't expect the entire midfield to change though. Hope it's Bruno and Collyer in the middle with Eriksen and Garnacho supporting Zirkzee up top.

the most predictable thing would be for Butland to have a blinder and remind everyone in England of his best days.

Ugarte looked exhausted last game, which is unfortunate as a physical game like this suits him
    Yeah, true on both points.

The trouble is, with where we are in the respective EL and PL table, this (and Bucharest next week) are bigger games than either of the PL matches - but we're probably going to end up using Ugarte for the league games and giving him his rest in the crucial EL matches. Wrong way round really. Hopefully that's taken into account and he's definitely a starter in Bucharest.

I’m really not sure about that midfield, we’re struggling to string together any sort of decent performances as it is I don’t know why we’d actively make things harder for ourselves with that midfield selection. Hopefully proved wrong though.

Good lineup! Hopefully Collyer and Eriksen can handle the lower level of playing a team like Rangers

Only CM I have any faith in is Ugarte, so always a worry when he isn't starting.

Not sure if it's Collyer and Eriksen or Collyer and Fernandes, either way a lot of responsibility for the mobility and defensive work falling onto young Collyer. Big test for him in what is a very important game at this stage of the EL campaign.
I’m hoping it’s Bruno and Collyer I’d like to see Eriksen in that advanced position but I doubt it will be

Just want to say that this is the first game we're going into during the Amorim era in which the players have received an apocalyptic bollocking.

Surely, tonight of all nights, we're going to see some anger in the players.

I would start Hojlund vs weaker teams since he does well against less than elite defenders and save Zirkzee's legs for the Premier League.

In Europa League you can name 12 subs and yet still Marcus Rashford doesn’t make the bench, Amorim has made himself very clear, he can’t stand him as football player and wants him out, there’s no way back for Marcus now!

Tom Heaton on the bench, Two debatable attacking options on a bench I hope I’ve got this wrong as RA looks like he’s only named 10 subs, surely we can give some of our attacking youth players like Chido, Wheatley or Biancheri a bench role.

Absolutely shocking bench. And we are flogging 2 of them this window it seems. Amorim will be working with scraps

Tough test tonight. Rangers may be indifferent in the SPL but they've shown in Europe they can be a handful.

A reward for his arsenal performance , it’s not unusual for a 2nd choice GK to be selected for cup and EL
I get that but Onana has been in goal for every EL game up until now, you can see why people would be lead to believe he’s been dropped?

At the very least, the storm approaching at 10am tomorrow means that the Rangers fans will only have a couple of hours to trash Manchester before they need to get home to their collective bedsit to fasten down the back garden filled with old Volvos.

Tough test tonight. Rangers may be indifferent in the SPL but they've shown in Europe they can be a handful.
They can but it usually happens at Ibrox. Since we're crap everywhere I'm not sure if that will matter though.

In my head Kenny Miller, Nacho Novo and Dado Prso still play for Rangers.

This should be an easy one, considering they should be about 50 at this stage.

Why? He's not undroppable and Amorim has made some big calls already as manager.
He’s not but he’s a much better GK than Bayindir . People just remember the last game unfortunately but 3 days previous he kept us at 0-0 v Southampton with 3 great saves.
If Amorim had the funds though I think he would replace him but we’ve so many bigger problems outside we will probably stick with him for the time being
