That line up gives flexibility of both diamond formation and 3-5-2. Let's see how it turns out to be. LvG mentioned recently that he sees Blind as midfielder.

Team is strong but 3-5-2 and I'll get a bit annoyed. The players there are perfect for a diamond or even 4-3-3 with Mata and Rooney on the wings but not a traditional united winger role.that lineup looks more like a diamond 4-4-2, yet, no one will knoww for sure until we kick off. Disappointed to see Mata, RVP, and Rooney still playing together as I feel there simple isn't enough pace in that front 3.
