We won't be able to put up any sort of performance. It will be City against the clueless. We were dominated against teams like Watford, West Ham and Everton, and some think we even stand a chance against a team as well-drilled as City. I would say Liverpool are more likely to draw one of their remaining games.

Not watching this one. Can't bare myself to actively watch and want United to lose.

Us vs. City at OT since Rooney's overhead kick winner all those years ago.

    Played - 7
    Won - 1
    Drew - 1
    Lost - 5
    Goals for - 8
    Goals against - 17

    Truly appalling record.

Most predicted result is 5-0 and I am not even surprised. How far has this club sunk under the Glazers?

8 years we won only once at O.T. Power shifting surely. We need to put an end to this.

    A win tomorrow achieves nothing.

It reminds me of when Liverpool were shite in the 90s. They’d always give us a game and then go back to being bad the weekend after.

We will probably draw tomorrow handing the title to Liverpool, then we’ll draw again or lose against Chelsea. And some fans here will still obsess over the Top 4 Trophy until it’s mathematically impossible.

I just hope we play the kids tomorrow, lose 1-0 to a really dodgy penalty which winds the Scousers up and then we just look forward to the summer’s ins and outs.

Confidence in our team is VERY low.
Under Jose, you always knew that no matter how bed we played, we could restrict a loss in the next match to 1 or 2 goals. But under Ole, due to a more attacking style of play, we are fully capable of losing by 5 goals.
But strangely the last two losses are the only times we've conceded more than 2 under Ole.

Phil Jones OG to really get their tinfoil hats on.

Gonna borrow a United shirt from a friend and sing Glory Glory Man Utd all day long. Believe

Anything but a draw, which helps neither of us.
I tend to follow this method of thought, but I think a draw could help us really. If we get 10 points from these remaining four games I think we'd pinch 4th place by a point. However, I do think that any performance and result will be a false dawn. If we pull one out of the bag and do City, I reckon we'd not beat Chelsea in the next game just to bring us back down again. It's been that kind of season.

I am hopeful that Liverpool have a slip up in them somewhere - probably somewhere around the Barcelona ties I think they might draw a game which might allow City back in if they were to mess up here. It's going to be an amazing ride but I think City just have what it takes to get the victory at Old Trafford tonight anyway. For what it's worth, I actually think we will see the reaction from our players that everyone is hoping for and City will be in a fight, but they'll win that fight because they are so good and have the quality to finish it. 1-3.

I don't remember actively wanting us to lose a game before. Such a strange feeling.

Think Ole will go with a team to try and win but subconsciously the players jut won't be up for it... and even if they are, we'd get beat anyway.

    De Gea
Young Smalling Jones Rojo (Or Dalot)
    Matic
    Pereira Pogba
    Lingard Lukaku Rashford

It depresses me that this is our strongest team. Really looks like a team we should be playing in the FA cup 3rd round under Fergie.

Why would he not play Luke Shaw after he's finished his suspension?

Anyone who wants to see United lose is not a real fan. Top 4 for us is much more important than whoever wins the league.

Don't be ridiculous, City fans in Norway?

Anyway, at this point after that game, don't care anymore. Not one single player I care about in this team. Depressing. I want us to win, but it would be just paper over.... Maybe players will give their best today, (which unfortunately is not good enough for City) win and go rubbish next game. I just don't trust any of them. Sad times.

Woke up this morning and decided i definitely want us to win, but i know i'll feel relieved when City get their first goal.

It would be great to stop Saint Pep getting back to back titles and cementing his legacy as the best manager who ever lived or ever will live, but this is Liverpool we're talking about. I don't think people appreciate just how unbearable they will be if they actually win it.

I don't think we'll see Martial again for a while and Ole has to break up the chuckle brothers in defence if we are to have half a hope. I'd be happy with:

    De Gea
    Dalot - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    McTominay - Fred - Pogba
    Lukaku - Rashford - Sanchez

    I'm expecting:

    De Gea
    Young - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    McTominay - Matic - Pogba
    Rashford - Lukaku - Sanchez

Can’t see any way to win this. Sanchez will get a starting spot because he was absent for the past disastrous few weeks, doesn’t mean he actually deserves it. Getting Victor back in centre if defense will help but unfortunately he is our only competent centre half. Pogba doesn’t care any more but you’d think the least he would do is try to impress a potential new club, who would want him at their club, seriously? DDG has become a liability. 0-2 at best for us.

It's sad to think that if we muster just 2 shots on target it'll be an improvement on the Everton game. I doubt City will have to get out of second gear to get the points.

I'm not sure it's possible to have a worse performance than v Everton - things can only get better from here.

Having said that, while I think we'll put a better performance - it won't be enough to overcome City.

0-2 is my guess (despite 0-5 being my official prediction, made not long after Everton!!)

Probably be same old same old as the last 6/7 games. Players not giving their all, and not showing any shame for it.

I really couldn't care less about Liverpool fans. I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but there's a little bit of me that wouldn't begrudge them it. I suppose the last six years has put things in context.

What will be truly unbearable, and the reason I really don't want them to win it, will be the press. And not just the ex-Liverpool players who are overrepresented in it; the supposedly neutral journos (Samuel et al) will be even worse. It just doesn't bear thinking about.

Agree with all of this. Surely it's obvious by now that Smalling needs Lindlelof (or Blind ) to be able to play decently, and Jones makes him worse. I really don't want Matic back in, though fear that he will be.

Don't think it matters whether we dread winning and giving Liverpool the title. City will barely need to get out of second gear to beat us and if we play as we did on Sunday, their Under 18s will do the job. Wouldn't surprise me to see Foden outplay Pogba

Not watching this one. Can't bare myself to actively watch and want United to lose.
More and more of our fans feel this way.

I think it's disgraceful. Why not just support anyone that plays Liverpool?

Sickened by this game, this season, this f'n squad. Just want this all to be over.

I don't think City will need to make any effort to beat us. All this talk about playing for the badge, putting in a performance. Its all words. We've heard all that s-t before.

The worst thing about tonight is not that we could hand Liverpool or City the title. Its that we're so far off them I don't even think we'll have an impact on the destination of the Premier League. We're not even in the conversation when it comes to the serious silver.

Why would he not play Luke Shaw after he's finished his suspension?

My bad, didn't know he was back. Well Shaw at LB then and Young at RB I imagine. Point still stands about the team being depressingly bad (I actually think Shaw is one of our better players though).

I’d be happy to park the bus take the draw and win against Chelsea on Sunday.

Even if we lose tonight, we have to hope that Wolves wins against Arsenal to leave us some hope, but a draw would be perfect.

But to be honest just seeing City’s form vs ours is irrational. We all know that they are in their best form and we are maybe even worse than with Mourinho.

We should be ready for a Spurs like game at Old Trafford with a heavy defeat.

Hope I am wrong but I can’t really see how we can cope with their pace, tempo and individuals.

Even parking the bus is barely enough to beat West Ham, let alone Chitteh…

I am still torn between watching this and Avengers tonight

We'll start brightly and then follow it by conceding a cheap goal which, given our mentality, we'll be unable to make up for. Gonna be 0-2, 1-2 o 1-3. Draw the best scenario. We're unlucky we're playing our biggest games in this form. If only we played Citys and Chelseas back when Ole was appointed an interim manager.
