Feeling even more confident now. Reckon we'll knock a few past them today.

Really curious about how we will try to counteract their flooding of midfield.

We are going to have to fight fire with fire by perhaps changing tactics, so fellaini and Pogba are not frustrated. We don't want Pogba outnumbered 2 to 1, which shackles him from attacking teams, while fellaini could get sent off he gets frustrated. So Jose has food for thought on what team and system he applies today

I think it will look unchanged on paper, but with Rooney in reality playing as a midfielder making it a 4-3-3.

    United 3 (2) : (0) 1 City
    Ibrahimovic 24,41 Iheanacho 75
    Rashford 79

I wonder if this is the kind of game with the kind of system city are using is best dropping rooney, play Pogba closer to the striker so he has the free reigns to press city, imagine that 6 ft 3 athletic tank of a player coming after your back 4 and midfield, with also a 6 ft 5 animal in zlaten dangerous in the air also pressing your back 4, with Martial and Rashford pressing city, its something I think jose will think about, with perhaps herrera teaming up with Pogba to press teams with fellaini sitting deeper with his passing range it could give us balance, it could give us the physical edge, the pace to hurt city and the energy to win those 50/50 challenges

Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Rooney and Rashford up front? Heard some rumours on a pre-match broadcast

Jose will relinquish midfield control. No point trying to beat a Pep team in midfield. He'll hit them on the counter with Zlatan being the hold up man. Their full backs have been abysmal and defence largely untested. Martial is going to have a field day.

Personally I'd play Rashford on the right, so we have two flying wide men on the counter.

Fellaini's first real test today. If he performs, I'l take back all what I've said in the past about him being the worst footballer I've ever seen.

Sadly Rooney won't be dropped for this one. He will play as an ultra defensive #10 I reckon. Which probably means that Mata will give way on the right for either Lingard or Mkhi, since pace is one thing Pep doesn't like to face. A team with Roo \ Zlatan and Mata will be too slow.

Would like one of Martial or Rashford on the bench to bring on as a pacey weapon in the second half if needed.

FFS Zlatan injured? This shit is unreal. He must be devastated.

Martial and Rashford off the bench to go at tired legs!

We'll look to keep it tight early, hit them on the break and win it later.
