Damn that non-existent away goal.

2-0 is always a dangerous lead in football, but unless we score early and obviously first, it's almost hopeless. Liverpool will gradually go deeper into their cave to protect the lead as the game progresses.
1 goal - DANGER ZONEI'd be interested to see the stats on this "most dangerous lead" thing that people trot when talking about two goal advantages. Here's my best guess about strength of leading positions, in descending order of "dangerousness":
1 goal
2 goals
3 goals
4 goals
5 goals
etc.
De Gea
Varela--Smalling--Blind--Rojo
Schneiderlin--Herrera
Lingard--Mata--Memphis
Martial
subs: Romero, Darmian, McNair, Schweinsteiger, Fellaini, Pereira, Rashford
Basti on around the 55th - 60th minute mark. I know Pereira won't be involved but I hope he is.
Did LvG confirm Schweinsteiger wont start?
Ah yeah I forgot about Carrick. Not sure if Williams is ahead of McNair because he was on the bench ahead of Fosu in the last match vs West Ham but is he ahead of him? If he is ahead of McNair though I will be happy because I don't rate McNair.Carrick surely will be on the bench ahead of Pereira and Williams is now ahead of McNair.
Luckhurst is saying that Blind and Herrera are not in the squad.
Probably Darmian at LB.So Rojo in center and CBJ at full back?
No Herrera is a blow.
If we're 1-0 up with 15 minutes to go, I'd take that.
Why would we need legs in midfield against a high press team like Liverpool? We can always hoof it to Fellaini after all...
Genius. Philosophy.
Probably Darmian at LB.
Hopefully Schweinsteiger is able to play a significant part.

I was thinking it will be Varela Smalling Rojo DarmianSo Rojo in center and CBJ at full back?
No Herrera is a blow.
United squad: De Gea, Romero, Valencia, Darmian, Varela, Smalling, Williams, Borthwick-Jackson, Rojo, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Fellaini, Carrick, Lingard, Mata, Memphis, Martial, Rashford
To think that only yesterday Van Gaal was saying that Valencia wouldn't make the game...as I said above you can never count on the veracity of anything he says..Happens with a lot of old goats who live in cloudcuckooland.
No Herrera is a blow.
