Our season has been an absolute ordeal. We're fecking useless, the games are beyond atrocious and we also have to listen to our clueless manager's neverending delusional bullshit before and after every single shitfest.

The excitement before the games has been replaced by a specific mixture of hopelessness and being pissed off and it's because we've been watching our season slowly go to the shitter since the end of November. Thing is, we all saw it coming.

I still haven't missed a game this season and I'll watch us every time, but I'm counting the days until Van Gaal fecks off in May. I'm pretty sure that if Van Gaal happens to stay beyond the summer, many fans would just stop bothering.
I'm with you brother, I wonder why I watch United at the minute, I love the club and always try and watch the games but it's hard fecking work at the minute, I'm starting to think I watch them just so I have an excuse for a beer at the moment. God knows how the match going fans do it week in week out but fair fecks to 'em.

I don't think I've ever looked forward to a game less than this. Such a poor Liverpool team but we're even worse.

    You answered your question.

Our fans are too spoiled. It's a shit season and most of our matches are boring, but stop going on about 'not watching games anymore' if Van Gaal stays and that type of shit.

I don't actually think we are worse as such, it's a bit unfortunate the game has come in a period that they are showing good form and we are not. They have Adam fecking Lalala in their team, bang average.

You're correct, I did answer my own question but I didn't say I'm not going to watch games anymore so read the post and that type of shit.

Only 23% of of Cafites think we can do it tomorrow night compared to 69% who think we're going out. 8% have left the decision to the penalty gods.

Those are terrible numbers for a match in which we need to score 2/3 more goals than Liverpool at home. I'm one of the 69% (1-1 on the night) but they're terrible all the same.

I don't think anyone is saying they wouldn't watch United anymore if Van Gaal stays and even if someone's saying it, it's probably as a result of being pissed off at Van Gaal and Woodward and they don't really mean it. However, there are already many people on here who admit they don't mind missing the odd game anymore and I'd imagine things are going to get worse for them if Van Gaal stays as it'd be an absolute farse of a decision and a confirmation that Woody and co. don't give a feck.

For example, the last sentence of my previous post was nothing more than a simple observation.

There are many here who openly admit to wanting United to lose, nevermind missing a game here and there.

Moreno is a doubt for tomorrow. He will have a fitness test tomorrow.

If he doesn't make it then Brad Smith will play.

Just arrived in Manchester and and seen that Metrolink has free Wi-Fi. Good stuff.

I am sure we will win

And I think we will qualify

    I like your moxie kid.

I was completely non plussed last week, but I'd love us to go through, really fancy a little quarter final proper European game. Not Dortmund mind!

Need to blitz out of the blocks and get an early goal.

    We'll do it.

    De Gea
    Varela Smalling Rojo CBJ
    Schneiderlin
    Herrera Schweinsteiger
    Mata Martial Lingard
    Full time: United 2 - 0 Liverpool

Then Rashford off the bench to seal it in extra time.

I've been one of the most doggedly optimistic on here, but the score is just so damning. I'm not feeling it.

I've also been wrong almost every single time, so maybe that's a good thing.

I think a lot of people will disagree with my starting eleven. I prefer 442 but we know LVG will play 4231 so I will post what I think LVG will and should do for the line up tomorrow.

    DDG
    Varela Smalling Blind CBJ
    Carrick Schweinsteiger
    Lingard Mata Memphis
    Martial

Varela IMO is no brain choice if we are looking to score goal because he's our best available right back when going forward. LVG mentioned CBJ might feature, and CBJ is IMO have a great cross so I expect both Varela and CBJ launch those crosses to our box and to make this effective I'm hoping us to have at least 4 players in the box when Varela/CBJ launch the cross

Yes I prefer both Carrick and Schweinsteiger in this game as a starter. The main reason is I expect us to launch a lot of killer ball, long ball, forward ball to the box and I reckon Carrick and Schweinsteiger do better for doing it than Herrera and Schneiderlin. And I expect our attacker to look for run as well.

Memphis and Mata have fresh leg to start the game and I expect them to do much much better than the previous games.

Blind is another option for increasing our chance to create chance with his passing.

If we conceded, we lose but then again we are already lost now so we have nothing to lose so I expect a total attacking flow football in this game just like what we did to Bayern in 2010 we were 3-0 up before Rafael got a red card. So I expect starting eleven will full of players who can increase our chance to score goals.

Heart wants united win, head says every loss will be helpful for long term future of the club. We may win today but we will lose the tie.

As bad as we've been all year I can't help but be excited by this game. Am going to it later on more in hope than expectation. The hope being we have one of the greatest European nights in ages.

If we play the right midfielders I think we can take this. Schweini for Fellaini alone will make a world of difference, and Lingard really needs to be benched after contributing zero for a run of games now.

I'd also prefer to see Schweini in a number 10 instead of Herera because I reckon he can pull the strings better.

    Schneiderlin + Carrick

    Schweini
    Mata Martial Depay
AH dream on. Do you really think that our genius manager will not play the great Fellaini? or even the fecking marvelous Lingard?

So if they score one goal we need to score 4? Brilliant.
Really struggling to see where the first goal comes from, we looked absolutely toothless and then some at Anfield.

I can't even comprehend losing to Liverpool in Europe. I think I'm forcing myself to be numb about it. It's only a game of football and all that..

Cannot see us getting anything out of this. We did not even create 1 real Chance last week.
And we are not Bayern being able to convert 2 out of 2.

No. Thats why I said "I'd prefer to see" rather than what we're likely to see.

I'm in favor of 352 today actually, as we need to keep tight, plus it gives Varela and Darmian/Rojo/CbJ more room to attack. But no Fella/Carrick or Fella/schneiderlin midfield please

Two very averge teams, but one key difference. They have a manager who can get the most out of his players, whereas we have one who seems to do the opposite.
    Not confident at all tonight.

Don't play Martial on the right, Don't play Rashford on the right, Lingard is shit but him and Mata on the right. Don't play the useless Fellaini, Bastian is obviously has much more mobility and of course he is better. Can Van Gaal do that?

    DDG
    Varela-Smalling-Blind-Rojo
    Schniderlin-Bastian
    Mata Martial
    Herrera
    Rashford

Me too I think. Rojo is pretty good at LWB. Could we see a return by Valencia at RWB or even Young on the left (not sure what his status is)?

Edit: LVG apparently said that Valencia and Young are not ready but CBJ could be back
