Chase Ugarte all summer and sign him in time to not be able to register him for the biggest game of the season (when he'd 100% be needed).
Still painfully toothless up front as well. So many good positions wasted

Zirkzee just looks like another nothing player added to the list of nothing players we sign again and again.

Martinez continuing his very poor start to the season with some questionable defending.

Casemiro looked washed 18 months ago. He shouldn’t be playing for us now but especially today. But here he is handing out gifts.

This has to be the last of Casemiro, if he goes out after HT that's ten Hag conceding defeat.

Bruno walking down the tunnel at HT with his head down and moping, how the feck is that supposed to gee up the young players and show them we're not out of this game?

Is it too early for Ineos to correct their mistakes of sticking with ETH? They took more than a month to make the decision to stick with him.

Zirkzee looks massively unconvincing. But the whole attack was fecking woeful.

Make some brave changes at halftime, feck all to lose now.
    We saw this with hoijlund.

I seriously think our set up makes it hard for young forwards to flourish

Feels like every match there’s one or two players that will go out of their way to have a stinker and give away goals….horrendous stuff, you can’t really blame the manager for Casemiro completely losing his head like that.. it’s unforgivable and he needs dropping and then selling at the earliest possible opportunity
    Basically nailed it.

Absolute shocker of a half from him.

You just can’t factor that in into planning for a game.

But we should have had Ugarte in much before and available for the match.

    Our midfield depth is terrible.

Hope this Collyer lad can step up.

Hes gonna have to play Collyer. He can't bring Eriksen on in this game. Bring Amad and collyer on. Amad false 9 and drop Bruno deeper to hassle their midfield. The 424 is killing us

Ten Hag rolled the dice and went attacking, that didn't work.

If he can't salvage the draw in the 2nd half he's under pressure already.

Casemiro's replacement has already been signed and it's a shame he wasn't registered in time for this game. But he's also been tactically outwitted and we can't build dangerous attacks in the game. Liverpool have not come out to defend either. We just lost a shootout.

There are no real options on the bench who can come and change things. Amad is the only one who can give us a burst of speed. Eriksen's passing should be at least better than Bruno's, but no mobility. It feels like every single one of our players come with a huge caveat of some kind.
That's because we manage to bring the worst out of our players and expose their weaknesses, it can happen when you have no strategic blueprint and are just winging it.

This was inevitable, ETH was a dead man walking who only survived because he won the last game of the season.

All of the sentiment from that game has gone, we now have a manager who is favourite for the sack, with no credit in the bank, trying to oversee a rebuild that requires time and patience.

how can we be playing as such underdogs at home against a newly appointed manager? In this fixture it’s fecking tragic and I’m massively bored of how weak we are all over the pitch.

I worried that with Mount out, and Ugarte unavailable, we'd lack athleticism in the middle today. However, I didn't expect that would be compounded by this all-time shit show by Casemiro.

Who do we bring on? Collyer?
Yes, exactly. It is a loss, anyway. Our attacking patterns are worse than Burnley's, everything is just random, so we're not going to score.

It is not about improving the team with a better sub, it is about sending a message that stupid fecking carelessness and recklessness like that should not be accepted at our club and it needs to be punished. I'd put on Antony instead of Casemiro if that's what it takes to get him out.

Casemiro has sucked the morale from the team, he’s bringing everyone down with him.

I’ll say it again, our inability to accurately pass the ball from midfield is fecking depressing. Obviously Casemiro fecked it and we conceded twice, but Bruno has fecked it in attack twice too.

Big brave second half please. Or we might be looking at another 7-0 scoreline here.

Slot is really lucky bastard so far. Easy schedule, gifted goals. Playing nothing special and it could be 3 wins in a row.

Actually think we played very good. Was great to see us pass and look like a team with a system. At times our buildup up play, especially in the first 20 minutes, was like a faster version of City.

Can’t account for two Casemiro mistakes. Or bad final balls from attackers.

If ever there was a time to look beyond the scoreline I think this is it.

We try to play helter-skelter football. The problem is we're not even good at it.

Trying to play at 100mph when we're not actually capable at 50mph.

I don't think the manager gets to 10 games.

Absolutely awful first half, we cant pass, we cant defend, we cant tackle, we lose possesion far too easilly, and our RWB seems to be the only one who can shoot.

Changes desperately needed at HT if we are to turn this around

2 mistakes not on ETH, but aside from that, do you think it's acceptable to be going into a game against Liverpool at Old Trafford and expecting to get a hiding? In Year 3 of a manager's reign?
Not at all… he did enough to earn his third season in my opinion, but so far he’s throwing it away fast

Mistakes happen but it's too regular and then to drop your head like that? That's unforgivable.

I'm a huge fan of Casemiro but enough is enough

When Bruno is off, the whole team is off. Today he is well off.

Zirkzee is not a striker. Whatever his skill set is, focal point of attack is not among it.

    Casemiro nothing short of tragic.

With DeLigt and Licha we were supposed to have the missing pieces to exploit Onana's passing skills - yet they are still standing right next to him and having him pump it long to no one. That one moment when Onana was all the way up to halfway and kicked straight to their keeper... what.

Casemiro has been woeful, but just as disappointing is Zirkzee. Shat his pants every time he's touched the ball so far. Complete deer in the headlights.

Does any other Premier League club ever concede that first goal, or Brighton's second?

Chase Ugarte all summer and sign him in time to not be able to register him for the biggest game of the season (when he'd 100% be needed).
Still painfully toothless up front as well. So many good positions wasted

We had to sell McTominay first. Simple as that.

Our options in midfield are bringing me to tears. Casemiro just has to come off but just don`t think Toby are ready for this pace
See I do agree, however, Collyer is never gonna try and spam first time balls like Casemiro has been doing. He'll be scared for his life and try and keep it simple which is what we've needed.

Haven’t we still got another year of Casemiro after this season as well

I’m at the point where I’d rather Eriksen because if Casemiro can’t add anything defensively, you might as well play someone who can pass the ball.
I think the Glazers gave Casemiro a fecking five year contract.
