Hang on, Liverpool have had zero transfers coming in this summer, zilch, nothing.
They have a new manager that "hasn't been backed", like we used to scream, hasn't got a single player that's of his choice, not one. On the other hand, we have spent 200m on players for ETH this summer so far, just over 600m on players for him over the last three years. But we aren't feeling confident?? Why is that, I wonder.

That's our best bet, but I don't think it's gonna manner.

I think they either win a close 2-1 or they run us off the pitch again. Either way it's the same in the end.

This feels very much like 2022 when we played them also in the third game, only difference is we didn't get pumped 4-0 at Brentford this time.

Think we'll win this. Hopefully we have Ugarte in by this. Need to stop fecking around with things and just play our best players though (which includes a striker rather than a false 9).

    Zirkzee
    Mount Bruno Garnacho
    Mainoo Casemiro
    Dalot Martinez De Ligt Mazraoui
    Onana

Do people not get tired of constantly and confidently predicting losses to Liverpool and City and regularly being wrong?
regularly? how so? when was the last time we beat City in the league? How many times have Liverpool beaten us in the PL in, say, the past three years?

For Liverpool, in the PL, 3 out of 6. So 50%.

We've also beat them in the FA Cup last year.

So, in the last 7 games they've beaten us in less than half of them. Yet every one of them a 4-0 or 5-0 defeat was confidently predicted on here.

One win, two draws, one loss for ten Hag in the PL vs ‘Pool.

A draw seems likely I think.

Play like a team with quality and cajones even if some players have to fake it.

    Fulham, Brighton, Liverpool

You would be happy with 6-7 points from those opening 3 fixtures.

United failing to concentrate for a few minutes in injury time against Brighton has now turned this game into an even bigger monster.

Play our best players… with Mount at LW?

I’m fecking praying to every known God in history that ETH drops Rashford.
He has to, Rashford is caught offside far too many times and ruins the play with his stupid running and losing possession.
Drop him get Zirkzee and Garnacho in from the start with De Ligt and Maguire at the back, push Martinez into midfield to give some badly needed enforcement in the middle.
We are at home so I’m desperately hoping we win and give the scousers a good game but I’m not confident, is anyone confident going into this game other than a fecking scouser?

I think we'll get a reaction and I can see us getting all 3 points.
We'll show passion and commitment because its Liverpool.

The proceeding game though, We'll probably be as flat as we have been in recent times.

Feels like a must win for ETH. Would be terrible optics when you compare how the managers have been backed this summer.

Really wanted Ugarte to start in this one but fecking around too much means he won't play even if he's here by then.

No threat up front because rashford has to play no matter what according to EtH.

    No legs in midfield

    Shaky defence and keeper.

    3-0 to united.

If we get dominated at home it’s going to be hard to come back from. The comparisons will be obvious with them both being Dutch etc.

    Onana

    Mazraoui, De Ligt, Licha, Dalot

    Mainoo, Casemiro, Fernandes

    Garnacho, Zirkzee, Rashford

This has to be the starting XI.

I can see the Rashford thing now from some of our fans, just wish we had interest for him then would have hope we could get shut

They haven’t beaten us at old Trafford in a while, they haven’t signed anyone and they are an aging squad. If we avoid bad luck we won’t lose here.

We scraped by Fulham and were beaten by Brighton so naturally we’ll hammer Liverpool.

Unfortunately I think we lose this one.
Which leaves us in the bottom half of the league.

Hopefully Ten Hag's luck will change for this one and we'll get some change out of the Slot machine.

Would be sweet to burst their bubble and kick-start our season with a good performance.

Assuming everyone's fit from the weekend, I think de Ligt comes in for Maguire and Garnacho comes in for Rashford. Hopefully Ugarte on the bench.

How I see this game going.

United to play well but a lack of clinical edge will prove costly again. Liverpool to lead 1-0 at half time from their only shot on target. 2nd half more big scoring opportunities wasted by United, then a defensive mix up gifts Liverpool a 2nd goal and we'll end up with a 2-0 defeat.

Not a great start to the season but Rashford has to start this game. He scores in nearly every big game at Old Trafford.

This would be even more horrible than usual to lose since it's before an international break so we'd be stewing in it for 2 weeks. Would snatch your hand off for a draw.

Have ominous visions of them just passing around us with ease. Will be horrible.
