ETH might get saved by the international break, because another showing like this the week after might have doomed him.

Can’t predict the winning Lottery numbers but I can always guess we’ll be beaten against Liverpool (home & away).

Business as usual, struggle to beat Fulham, lost to Brighton, got thrashed by Liverpool at home. Negative 3 goals difference laying 14th on the table. Best time to sack him since the international break is here. Why should we keep him?

They didn't beat us at all last season. They've gotten better and we got worse (somehow).

We could have had 180 minutes and still wouldn't have scored. Just unacceptable. If you're going to lose, go down swinging and with some fight and bollocks.

There’s a reason RVN was brought back. He’ll be the one to take over until end of season if and when ETH gets sacked
Huh? How many trophies has RVN won as a coach? Why would we not be able to find an established manager??

Looked a gulf in class today. Liverpool a yard quicker in the press.
We were wide open, same as last year.
No use having attacking full backs if they are never there to defend.

Several times it was 5 Liverpool players v out 2 centre backs. Amateurish

Was really excited before the start of the season..

Just turned it off before the end

Pretty much sums it up, so disappointing
I was so optimistic before the season began and now I just can’t be arsed. It’s that bad. I can’t believe Ten Hag has been given a contract extension. I’m not sure where we go from here. I don’t expect us to beat Southampton.

Next game after the international break, is Southampton away.
The Saints have lost their opening 3 games and were looking like candidates to go straight back down before the season had even kicked off.

What betting their first win will be against us in a fortnight?

We ate fecking jinxed, it’s just impossible that we spend massive amounts of money and look like a championship side. I hat is the solution as changing managers ain’t the answer

Ugarte would have made a huge difference today, as it's unlikely he'd have single handedly given away the first two goals as Casemiro did.

We're still impotent and fell to pieces after that happened, which obviously isn't acceptable, but we were doing OK until we gave them 2 goals.

Zirkzee also looks too clumsy for the EPL on today's evidence. Wonder what they saw in him.

I'm not ready to write off the season. Liverpool, Arsenal and City are in a league of their own. We knew that already. I expected to lose with this midfield. But clearly it's bad and ETH has till Xmas to turn it around or he's toast.

Drop them for who? There’s limited options with the injuries. Weird you’d pick our Dalot whos been our best player again today. Hes quality and so far from the issue.

Does Dalot even get close to G Nev, Rafael, even fecking Antonio Valencia at right back?

Amad maybe? You saw he was the best player today despite being a sub? How about we stop playing a fecking striker in the winger position because that's where he loves to play and instead play an actual winger there? or sign one maybe?

Maybe don't sell McTominay if you know Casemiro is done and Ugarte hasn't arrived yet? What happens if Ugarte gets injured next game and is out for the season, do we concede 3 every game and say "ohhh we had injuries"

Enough with the excuses. The guy is terrible and has been for the last 2 seasons. We have no system, no style of play, nothing. Its like watching 11 random guys playing 11 a side on a sunday.

I predicted this scoreline in the super 6

    Sack him, tonight.

I however DO NOT want Southgate, it'll be out tbe frying pan and into the fire

Out of all the Dutch managers, we get the one that is shittest at attacking. Sod's law.

You just love to change the subject of conversation don't you? We literally beat Liverpool at home not that long ago.
We beat them in a cup quarter.

We have constantly been embarrased by them and other top clubs. We finished 8th last season with a -ve GD and have lost 2 of our 3 games to start the season and have a -3 GD. This is the manager's 3rd season and there is no discernible style of play...

"We press high and try to win the ball back"

It is not a style of play of it doesn't work.

I am not changing any conversation. I am trying to learn that what should I be seeing and be encouraged by in a manager's third season.

Get ten Hag out NOW, before he can do anymore damage. We need a manager to get us playing as a team not a bunch of individuals. I am sure someone out there can stabilise the situation. We could probably not get anyone worse, I mean the number of poor passes was unbelievable, even a pub team would not be that bad, I know because I’ve played in plenty.

I’m quietly confident about us being the dross, it’s the teams that are well drilled that worry me, we have individual quality but not much else, and it’s been the same way for years

I struggle to find one positive. The cup wins were on the back of two poor seasons. Very poor in CL. Very poor in the league. He’s been backed with signings yet we look worse than we did under Ole.
We Score 74 goals under Ole in the EPL, this season we’ve spent £200m and look even more ineffective, he has to go asap, like I said they will give him 10 games and by the that time, We will maybe have 11-13 points and 5 or 6 losses. Clown needs to go, I mean a big club would just get rid of him tonight but United won’t do that ?

I think a loss Southampton should be more than enough considering the money we have just spent.

My advice is dont waste your time watching the league games - we've no chance of winning it and might even be a struggle to get into top 4. Save your spare time for watching the cup games - europa, Fa and League cup are our only ray of lights for the forseeable.

Was really excited before the start of the season..

Just turned it off before the end

Pretty much sums it up, so disappointing

What gave you a reason to be excited after what we saw last season? I came into it completely deflated since the news of Ten Hag keeping his job was announced

I just can’t be arsed with it anymore, every pass we make is to the man in the worst position to receive it, watching them play every week is aging me.

All as I’ve seen is a manager in his third season trying to re-build the team he had 6yrs ago by recruiting former Ajax players. There’s no real game plan and we looked unfit trying to keep up with a Liverpool side who predictably play a high line press.

I wouldn't give ETH til Christmas, the season will be gone by then

Please NOT Southgate though. Just no.
I would give the rest of the season to Nistelrooy over Southgate any day of the week

Yes it can when in a modern shape for passing out at the back.

The key is the create artificial transitions or keep it safe when the pass isn't on.

Liverpool have been doing it, but are much better because they have been drilled for longer and are a better side
Yeah I get that, let my annoyance get the better of me when I saw it again.

We looked better because we had 3 players in midfield instead of only 2.
Agreed and that’s what we need in there every game at the minute but he also covers ground faster than Cas & Mainoo. I’d be tempted to play Mount, Ugarte and Mainoo as our midfield for a few games if they are ever fit at the same time.
