Liverpool came for a draw and most likely they will get it, we aren't offering any threats nor we have the tools to do so.

Well, we are the home team. Its up to us to force the issue and score.
The problem is not LFC. The problem is us.

Does LVG realise that winning the possession battle is actually pointless and that goals are the only thing that count?

Schmeichel just said Bastian looked tired towards the end of the half and might have been taken off.

Some interesting stats here comparing Guardiola time at Bayren and LVG at United

    Fair enough .

The thing is, as unimaginative as we've been, somehow Liverpool have been 10 times worse.

The tamest United-Liverpool game ever. Both crowds can't even be bothered.

    Overreaction, as always.

We've been fine and Carrick and Schweini have kept the tempo up all half. Liverpool continued to give the ball away because of Bastian's pressing hard in the middle.

They've found Memphis and Fellaini in good positions but both have been slow to react.

I'm not too concerned, we're nicking this one in the 75th minute. Keep your calm.

Fecking horrible. We're playing the worst Liverpool side I've seen in my life, and the best we can come up with is hoofing the ball to Fellaini as if we're chasing a goal in the 95th minute. Absolutely no excuses for Van Gaal today. Bring in Martial and Young and start creating threats in front of their goal ffs.

This is fecking awful to watch. I'm so glad that we got rid of van Gaal. Can't believe some people believe he's coaching a more attractive style of football than Guardiola.
    That's serious delusion.

Was your football like this under Van Gaal? I thought, at least in his first season, Bayern played good stuff?

The fact that Liverpool started that way and we didn't really put them away, is something we need to improve at. We don't cut teams open the way we need to. Liverpool starting that nervously should have at least resulted in a few good chances.

Well when you don't have a replacement for your number 1 striker, you can't expect much.

De Gea’s obviously ecstatic to be involved in this goalless thriller and definitely not thinking of Real Madrid scoring 6 earlier.

I am also fecked off with seeing LVG just sitting on his arse doing nothing. No interest no passsion just note taking like some sort of PR guy. And Giggs doing a great yes-man impersonation

We are so boring to watch. Liverpool have shown next to no quality and made plenty of mistakes in the first half yet we barely created a chance. This team need to take more risks, one that could pay off would be introducing Martial in the second half. You just know van Gaal will keep him on the bench until 85th minute because of philosophy though.

Excellent post. My worry is that LVG will be happy with our performance because we have 'controlled' the game.

How can you say that? Sterling when he was 2 years younger was battling for the title with Liverpool, putting in some stunning displays over the course of the season. Then Depay went on to have a better 14/15 season (although in the Eredivisie). What has Depay done that he's more talented?

Depay has fallen over and chosen to ignore Luke Shaw's overlapping run for the 50th time.

Dire match. Story of our season so far, all possession and no penetration. We need to try something different. Fellaini isn't working. Might as well give Martial the chance, what do we have to lose? Game is crying out for a spark.

Liverpool are there for the taking for feck sake.

To be fair to Fellaini, Benteke is a natural striker, and he's done about the same as Fellaini.

Mata, Herrera, Fellaini, Carrick, BFS - how do we expect to run in behind the Liverpool defence if 5 of our 6 'attackers' are like slugs?
