First goal was no one's fault. Lucky deflection.

Don't know why the players got so sloppy in the last few minutes and conceded the second goal. Thought we were doing quite well to contain the scousers and reducing them to half chances before that. Could Onana have done better? He parried it straigt to Salah.

Chanting 'You Scouse bastards' to build the tension between VAR checks is hilarious.

Because the legs were gone, they were blowing hard in the last 15 because of the space they are being asked to cover. It is not sustainable, the structure of Ten Hags set up is lunacy.

That second goal is just infuriating the more you watch it. Poor in-game intelligence. Liverpool are always going to press us in that sort of position. Got to be thinking 3 or 4 moves ahead like chess. Got to avoid getting ourselves into hopeless situations like that. It's just...such a fecking dumb thing to do.

1-0 ahead for 43 mins and find themselves 2-1 behind at half time just typical. I'll be shocked if this group of United players turn it around now.

Genuinely, that was one of our best halves of the season. We looked good with the ball, moved it well, and were creating chances. Two moments at the end of the half where we've switched off and they punish us. So fecking frustrating.

It certainly was. Wan Bissaka and Mainoo looking brilliant. Rashy actually looks up for it.
    Quick nimble play,
Then reverted to mentality pansies again.

Sourness thinks they cut through us "at will" for the "last half hour"
    No chance you berk.

Whatever suits your narrative mate. It’s a foul 10 times out of 10 for every other club/player

Give me a break, it could have gone either way but to suggest it’s a clear cut foul is absurd.

No narrative, just tired of Bruno’s antics. He’s not captain material and never was.

When we go ahead we need the ability to keep possession when being pressed. Varane passing the ball over Rashford's head, Mctominay screwing up another through ball sums up the limits of the squad. Too many players who are just not comfortable on the ball. I also think that filters into tiring our team out quicker, because we lose the ball so often we very rarely get a chance to rest. We are either attacking at speed or defending at speed. We need better ball players.

Not in the slightest, don’t be obtuse Wave. There wasn’t anything from this game for posters to slander him today. Our start was some of the best we played. The end of the featured unforgivable errors from our top players.

I do agree I enjoyed those first 20 minutes, and that yeah, the goals came down to individual errors - but ultimately, if we don't get a result the buck starts and ends with him. Wouldn't be a one off

The chaos is an inherent part of our tactics. You can't just hand-wave it away and absolve the manager of any responsibility for it.
Still, Liverpool had 4 minutes. Difference is they’re clinical

People moan for the sake of it and can’t even enjoy when we objectively have a good game

We have been the best team in the first half and maybe even played our best 43 minutes in the season. It should have been 2-0 for us - I just cant believe this. So frustrating.

Why should it be 2-0?! Utd have been the better team but it’s difficult to argue they’ve deserved to keep a clean sheet.

You'd think after the reprieve of their offside goal we'd have realised we're incapable of playing out from the back. Brainless.

Could get ugly in the second half the way we are defending.

All about who gets the next goal. We score it, and I think we'll go on to win the game. They score it, and could end up being painful. I don't think we'll recover if we go down to 1-3.

It was good for a decent while but, as ever, we played our way into trouble. A couple of bad mistakes and we get punished.

You can get away with it against lesser opposition not the likes of Liverpool. That's why we had to make it count when we were on top.

Totally different game if McTominay scores a second off Rashford's pullback.

Graeme Souness actually talking sense. Take more aggression, take a yellow card, make sure the player doesn't get past. Too many players giving up and thinking someone else will do their job for them.

We don’t start second halves well, we can’t afford to sleep through the 1st 10-15, could be over as a contest if we do.

Lord protect my sweet virgin eyes from that Ten Hag thread in an hours time

Come on United. Just for once, fecking go for it. I can’t bear the season being over in March

The game management really was non existent there. It was clear all we had to do was be aggressive and retain the ball in those last 5 minutes.

Roy Keane's right in that it was criminal to not come in at half time ahead. There's a constant feeling in games that tactics or patterns of play wane during games.

Whether it's the manager, coaches or players that don't do enough to keep on the gameplan needs to sort themselves out.

    It happens too often.

We're shit at playing out from the back but we've obviously been told to do it.

Well then it's the managers job to coach us be able to do it.

What does he do in training? You just can't tell people you want them to play a certain way unless you have them practicing it in training every day.

This thing about passing the ball back and drawing Liverpool to press us is fecking stupid when we play ourselves into a pressing trap and pin ourselves back and lose the ball almost every time. The feck are we thinking?

I thought it was a foul too, easy for people to moan at Bruno as he’s disliked but if that was mainoo with someone going through the backnof him people would be calling a foul I feel
There’s a new rhetoric here where every time a disliked player gets fouled he’s just « weak » (which is something like 80% of the squad)

Gomez won the ball and Bruno flopped down looking for it

While also bundling Bruno over. You can’t do that and not give away a foul. There will be 3-3 of those given in the 2nd half.

Smash and grab From Pool. We should have been two up and they knocked two goals.

A deflected shot and a second that could, of been called back for a foul, any luck going is with pool.

That said, our team is bad at calming games down when momentum against us. Can’t believe we are down after that half, it’s easier to take
when we are muck and deserve to lose, this is painful.
