Not really. Even before they scored it was obvious that a goal was coming and our tactics were unsustainable.

Hopefully we turn it around in the second half but losing at home to Liverpool in the cup is not something I consider enjoyable.
Yup, I honestly felt that from 20-25 minutes a goal was coming for them.

Second half is your season. Get out there and play and not feel sorry for yourselves. Nobody cares if you were hard done by. ABUs are preparing a goblet of your salty tears.

Go and stick it to them.

People couldn’t wait for a reason to shit on Bruno and I’m one that thinks he has been terrible for months. Hilarious in here though, that is given a foul more often than not and if it was given nowt would have been said after it. If that would have been Mainoo etc going down the caf would be crying for a foul. Salah, Grealish etc get that foul ever week.
But hey let’s not let it get in the way of our own personal agendas.

Both quite fortunate goals in my opinion, the first could have definitely been defended better by Rahsford mind and we should have done better from our chances. One thing is certain with this team we are so easy to play through and that is on the coaching as much as the players.

Perhaps this true. I'd say Rashford wasn't hungry in defence. His opponent blew right past him and that created the danger.
Wouldn't say he blew past him. More casually wandered.

Rashford is a defensive liability. It would actually have been better if he was still LW not tracking back, because AWB clearly didn't close him down thinking Rashford was going to.

Liverpool will always creat chances but we missed some howlers. Should have scored more than one and that's the difference so far, they took their chances.

Bruno is the worst United captain I can recall, and Rashford is merely a product of the youth academy who we will continue to wait on to assume responsibility and a leadership role for as long as he remains with us, and he will never truly step into it.
Both are definitions of everything that is wrong with this club

Still, Liverpool had 4 minutes. Difference is they’re clinical

People moan for the sake of it and can’t even enjoy when we objectively have a good game
It’s difficult because when we let in 2 goals in a few minutes it’s hard to say we were objectively good, especially when the goals were arguably of our own making.

He has been shite and responsible for their goal. Even Roy Keane has highlighted it

Quanseh, or however you spell it doesn't score the goal. Granted Rashford should have done better in that moment, the ball went to Nunez and then MacAllister and no one was close.

On the ball, Rashford played a big part in our goal and McTominay should have made it 2 nil following Rashford's ball.

Smash and grab implies that it was taken from us.

More like a presevent gifted to LFC.

Up until pool scored there’d be no complaints at 44th minute of the half with us leading, that’s what I meant.

But yes, we’ve really f**ked ourselves more then they have taken the initiative.

Imagine being so shit that our opposition have been terrible and we're still down by a goal at the half.

Pardon me if I can’t enjoy being 1 goal down at home to our biggest rival in a cup game

Bizarrely one-sided punditry in the studio. Nothing about the fact we cut them to shreds regularly for 30 minutes.

    Rashford has played well.

    Quality control
    So?
If you can’t enjoy that we’ve been playing well, I’m sorry for you

We are Man United, not Crystal Palace to enjoy "playing well" while losing and going out of the cup against the mighty Liverpool for God's sake. Some of you can't comprehend how big Man United is supposed to be.

Bruno was a joke on the first goal as well. Letting a defender just walk past him them giving up.

It has been a feature of us for too long now, and it's a black mark against EtH that he hasn't managed to fix this?

I can see Liverpool pick us off in the second half as we chase this with how we are set up.

He's trying to implement high press football with a defense whose only capable of playing a deep line. That leaves a gap as big as the great canyon. I am also fed up of having two attacking minded CMs

Is that the first counter attack you’ve seen?

No, but one of the most poorly defended ones.
Your comment makes it sound like this is an isolated snapshot, when in fact it's defined how we've defended all season.

We are not a serious football team.

    This,

Mainoo is dribbling up in Liverpools box, Mctomimey is getting on the end of passes.

The only problem with that is those two are supposed to be our deep midfield.

Bruno seems to be everywhere apart from the actual position he's supposed to be in.

So much positional indiscipline in this team

Well counter attacking is our current least worst option but only because we're not very good. We saw how it played out against City. We got a good goal on the counter but then once we annoyed them we didn't see the ball again and they battered us as we ran out of energy chasing it.

Seems to be going as expected so far. Although we played very well first 20 minutes.

Relying on rashford to do something is an interesting tactic. Can’t see it ending well

Everyone deep down knows we are not winning this. Liverpool were barely out of first gear in that first half and they got 2 goals. Lets just hope we don't get embarrassed.

    But it wasn't a foul.
    Get over it.

We are not a serious football team.

That´s the perfect example of how not to press. Half the team presses, the other half sags off. That leaves the acres of space behind that result in a lot of shots conceded. But not that many goals against, cause there are still 4-5 guys in the box defending.
