    This team would at least give it a royal good go against Liverpool, and it would send a message to the underperforming untouchables

    Where the feck do you even start?!

    Unless we sign FDJ and another midfielder today/tomorrow so they have time to have at least some integration with the squad, I fear that this will be our worst league defeat ever.

    That would be a statement and show some character into it, Sancho hasn't been immense on the pitch, but his attitude seems to be right atm.
     
    Changes obviously need to be made but I wouldn't be doing that in this game. Almost certain we'll be getting thrashed whatever side plays so keep the same team. Pointless to destroy the confidence of some of the younger players, give them their chance at Southampton.
     
    Not that the actual squad will matter for this game, but I'm thinking:

    We'll concede at least 3, especially if De Gea is in goal. Honestly, I'll be surprised if we even lay a glove on them the other way. Our players haven't scored a single goal this season.
     
    Id play Martinez holding midfield, erikson and DVB along side him..
    hoping martial is fit If not get Garnacho in.
    We are massive underdogs, time for the players to dig in and earn some respect back.
     
    This isn't going to be the annihilation everyone is so sure of.

    Pool are no great shakes themselves, Fulham bullied them.

    A draw or a close defeat I'm thinking.

    It's going to be ludicrous, we are obsolete in every sense and will get obliterated.
     
    I don’t care about the result. Just want to see a proper performance and genuine effort. We’ll lose this but I want us to lose with dignity.
     
    Hopefully we will have one or two new signings before this game but I'm really not looking forward to it. In recent seasons even if we were bad you kind of thought we had at least a chance of causing an upset but this time I really don't seen any results other than us getting thrashed

    I want a compact midfield, because our central midfielders are poor compared to Liverpool`s, and I do not think that 2 central defenders will be enough, if we want to lose with less than 3 goals.

    I'd play Amad over Sancho. He's not ready yet but at least tries to take people on which makes him better option.

    Sancho quickly becoming one of our biggest ever flops. 74m and he's not even as good as Brighton's wingers.
     
    Best we can hope for is probably a 0-0, if all the Liverpool forwards put their boots on the wrong feet. Worth noting that none of our players have actually scored a goal in this season yet. Not gonna happen against Liverpool.
     
    Move Martinez to defensive mid and recall Varane.

    Third game of the season and we're already calling for mercy. The score could be literally anything Liverpool wants it to be.
     
    Go balls to the wall and try something different. I think our biggest problem is lack of work ethic and weak mentality. Remove the serial offenders such as Shaw, Rashford and Maguire. Sick of Bruno stinking the place up too.

    We'll likely lose no matter what, but at a bare minimum I want to watch a United team giving 100% effort. That's the one thing I miss most from the Ferguson era
     
    The only positive is that it’s on a Monday night so can’t ruin the weekend.

    They could rest Salah & Van Dijk and still comfortably win 3-0
     
    Empty old Trafford will play into their hands. Will be impossible for the players to turn up, however unlikely they are ti get a result.

    Personally want to see a roaring OT and pray we get something out of the game. I’ll certainly be going in.

    I'd be worried about playing Lincoln City, nevermind Liverpool. We are definitely going to lose I just hope it's not a battering.

    United players are more likely to play better in an empty stadium. They can't handle pressure and expectation

    4 at the back will not work for sure. Our central defenders are not good enough and will be outplayed. So will our central midfield. We do lack pace in this line up. But none of our fast players have anything to offer at the moment.

    Really would like to see Garnacho/Amad given a chance. Rashford and Sancho are beyond awful at the moment.

    Maguire is immune to being dropped which is a huge issue for us. I’d play Varane and Bailly and then Martinez in cdm. Could look like a back 5 at times if he drops in.
