any critics of ugarte must have amnesia. its been about 30 months since weve seen somebody break things up in the middle third- i hope he continues to foul, kick, shirt pull whatever. Of course there are aspects to improve but he's improving each month as far as i can see, and not looking like we have a 45 yard gap between the boxes is good for the heart. Casemiro unquestionably better next to him too

Most controlled half I've seen in a long time. Just have to keep the focus now and not switch off like usually.

Bruno, Diallo, and Ugarte have been fantastic. Defended reasonably well, too, although Dalot has been a liability. Hojlund and Rashford... brutal. I'd get them off at half time for Zirkzee and Garnacho.

Now I’m completely convinced that Ruud must go. Hes too good of a motivator and a coach to have him peaking over Amorim’s shoulders. He has too much main character energy. Thank you for caretaking - in the truest sense of the word - so brilliantly. Wish you well.

Excellent half. Ruuds subtle changes.
The Cas and Ugarte pivot. Amad in and switching Dalot and maz positons as fullbacks have made a difference.
Amad, Bruno, Casamire, Ugarte, mazz all 7-8,s

Dalot and Rashford have not been so great.
Garnacho over Rashford for me 2nd half.

Good half, a bit scrappy at times on the ball but structurally so much better. Need to see far more from Hojlund and Rash, Ras has been pretty anonymous again. Ugarte and Cas doing very well, giving De Ligt and Martinez a much simpler job.

Amad had a better performance today then Wednesday. Never seen him play with that much confidence.

Gah! It would've been such a great goal by Amad. Very good half from us. Probably the best of the season considering the opposition.

There is still a lack of clear instruction in attack as I think at times our players ignore runs and take too long to release the ball. But we are very solid in defense and midfield has controlled pretty much the whole half. Can't get carried away as we're always prone to a collapse, but this one should be comfortable.

I missed the first 28 mins, since then it seems we looked comfortable and in control, the players are somehow doing the little things right.
