any critics of ugarte must have amnesia. its been about 30 months since weve seen somebody break things up in the middle third- i hope he continues to foul, kick, shirt pull whatever. Of course there are aspects to improve but he's improving each month as far as i can see, and not looking like we have a 45 yard gap between the boxes is good for the heart. Casemiro unquestionably better next to him too
Yeh. Ugarte is such an important piece to the team balance.

    100%.
All the Ugarte haters were in on him after 3 games which was unfair. He's exactly what we've missed for years, someone with a bit of bite.

This half just proved how useless ETH was.

We know we don't have the best attack or most technical midfield but if we set up the team in a way to dominate the margins, we will come out favourably against most sides in the league.

ETH's setup was unnecessarily risky and left us vulnerable all over the pitch. Ruud has set us up to be as compact and structured as I've seen in years and by dominating possession we get the advantage of having more attacks.

Very good half and although it's not the quality of old it felt very much like a Manchester United performance. Brilliant from Ruud.

Pretty decent so far. We're doing most of the things that need to be done.

Rashford and Dalot have been ass. Hojlund trying and working hard but needs to improve. Rest of them have been good. Special mention to Ugarte who's looking more and more sharp every game.

That's what a proper good half of football looks like. Not matches like that Palace game where you set up in a way that you have to get everything inch perfect and manage to do so for 30 minutes resulting in some chances.

Dalot going to cost us games
think this will be sorted when Amorim introduces a wingback position. Dalot's very average going forward and switches of defensively way too often, basically, can't play that position. His only hope is to transform into RCB, which in fact he should.

Such a shame to see player underperforming after a really great season, where it looked he ironed out his mistakes and became one of the most depandable players. now back to calamity. Didn't help to switch wings to be fair to him.

Best performance in a United shirt for me.
Best part about it is he’s done without any real overlap support from Dalot either. Just straight rawdogging it

So far so good, shows the minimum levels we should be at against (with respect) newly promoted and less strong teams.

Why is Bruno looking so annoyed?
Constipated, on a serious note I'm seeing a style of play at united that Ruud has implemented in four games where we had no clue under Ten Hag. Seeing proper pressing and a distinct style which is exciting. Jesus Ten Hag was an absolute clown.

Glad I am not the only one to see it.
Also a good run for the amad chance late. Think hoijlund is better with the whole movement thing rather than back to goal he's been asked to do under eth

Very pleased with that half. This is the first gane that has really exposed what a horrific job ETH had done with our midfield. Still concerned with Hojlund but if Bruno can continue providing goals under Amorim, the damage might be somewhat mitigated until we bring in a new striker. Great performance by Mazraoui, beautiful ball for 2nd. Amad looking good again. Ugarte and Casemiro joint motm for me. Hoping to see more of the same 2nd half.

Hojlund, Rashford and Dalot have all been terrible.

Amad, Mazraoui and Ugarte very good. Casemiro has been quite good too with a few erratic moments as we come to expect. Everyone else has been decent

God knows what he was thinking. His gameplan costed us few games for sure.
To this day I don't know what he was thinking. He had something to build from in his first season and then he fecked it all up in his second campaign.

Hojlund just looks miles off what we need from our main striker. Hopefully just second season struggles, he's young. He's got the ingredients to be a useful player, but its a tough job watching him at the moment.

Isn't it incredible though, that for years the fans have been saying we need midfielders with bite to win the ball back to allow the forwards to do their thing and ETH completely ignored it.

Ruud sticks 2 midfielders with bite next to each other and feck-a-duck! Look what happens....we score goals!

    #shockhorror

Amad sitting around on the bench since his loan spell was the biggest crime Ten Hag committed. It was pretty clear he was in an upward trajectory and couldn't be worse than Antony and/or Rashford.

Who knew, abandon the donut formation and we start looking a better team immediately.

ETH under utilisation of amad was criminal
Worst part is that was just one of the many criminal decisions he made. I know he's gone now but I still find myself pissed off when thinking about his time here. There was so many simple things he got wrong that the average fan could even notice.

Pragmatic winning football. Picking players in form (Rashford aside) It doesn’t need to be rocket science

Trying to think of many games where both Amad and Garnacho have been on the pitch at the same time. (not talking about the final 5 or 10 minutes of games).

Just not feeling it with Rashford. He doesn't run with intensity too often these days and it makes us look horrendously unbalanced when Amad is doing it on the other side. Maz is offering us more creativity on the left hand side than Rashford is.

I'm starting to wonder why Ten Hag kept Amad out of the team for so long.

Pretty comfortable half, exactly what we needed.
Starting to? He spent 90m on a guy he had to show he was right. Just stubborn really.

We only seem to have two competent attackers each time, and the rest are unreliable. Amorim has got a real job on his hands to transform the attack, and turn Hojlund into a proper striker, and fire up or bin Rash. Dalot zzz too

I think Rashford has realized and accepted his status as an upcoming bench player and has basically decided to not give a shit.
    What a shameful behavior

Please no. I get anxiety at the mere thought of Dalot playing as a CB.
