Totally agree, the lad never gets any balls played into the channels for him to run onto. It’s a pretty criminal under use of his obvious strength.
What’s frustrating is that this was essentially how we set up under Ten Hag in his first season, when we secured a 3rd-place finish. Back then, Eriksen—and occasionally Casemiro—would push forward, but off the ball, we operated in a disciplined mid-block that made it tough for teams to break us down.
