Good stuff. Was hoping they’d get a win before playing us.Ipswich beating Spurs :O

Ugarte has been excellent when defending in the first half. Not so much, when he has the ball
Ten Hag was an idiot when it came to his midfield set up, no sugar coating it, refused to adapt to the obvious.
Defending it about being compact and doing it as a group, not exposing the CB's constantly.
Bar Zirkzee I think we had a very good summer transfer window. Mazraoui is amazing, Dr Ligt has brought leadership and stability, Ugarte is starting to look good (and Amorim knows him).
God knows what he was thinking. His gameplan costed us few games for sure.2 centre mids as a platform instead of whatever 4D chess Ten Hag was trying to play, and away we go.
He serves Saruman
Indeed. He died on that hill.It really is. I think at some point ten Hag knew this but went into pigheaded self-sabotage in the way managers do; instead of the simple move to make it tighter. He’d honestly still probably be here if he did the simple thing of making the midfield actually control the middle of the field
Totally agree, the lad never gets any balls played into the channels for him to run onto. It’s a pretty criminal under use of his obvious strength.Hojlund isn't a bad player he just isn't a target man. He needs balls in behind/channels. We keep trying to use him in totally the wrong way.
People are twerking over Viktor Gyökeres but he had the same issue early in his career. He started to come into his own when Coventry actually played to his strengths.
Our new man in charge likes the balls in behind for the striker to run onto, that should see Hojlund look far better.
It's literally that easy. Plus Bruno back to his original #10 position with two guys screening.
That's all it takes to finish top four in the PL. Be solid and have two or three attackers who can produce a moment of magic.
Glad I am not the only one to see it.Hoijlund made a good run for that goal to take away a defender
